Factory perimeter alarm

Recommended Posts

Your ST should already have a Perimeter alarm. The only function the VSS would add to your ST is the shock sensor.

I found 2023 installation instructions (here) and no special programming is required for VSS functions since if already have the key fob remote start from the factory.

Whoa, ho, ho. After reading Omar302's post, I did some more digging. Seems Levittown was wrong. (But not me, of course .... :-)

Here's what I'm finding now;

"ML3Z-19A361-A is the part number for the Ford Perimeter Plus Vehicle Security System, a shock and impact sensor module.

After a simple plug-and-play installation, the module automatically activates with an ignition cycle. Dealer programming is only needed if you want to add the optional remote start feature."

So ill just sit here on the patio, feed the squirrels and hummers, drink my martunies and think happy thoughts.

Let us know if you decide to go ahead and put one in.

My dealer told me the same thing that the shock sensor is plug & play. The issue I'm having is that the install directions I'm finding online for 18-22 ask you to plug it into a BCM under the dash to the right of the column and my 24 doesn't have a module there. Now I need a tech with access to the new Ford schematic and installation manual to tell me where this thing plugs into. The accessory catalog shows I have the right part and it's made for my 24. Help?
