hepps
We recently bought a 2014 Fod Edge and have loved it. It has 78k miles. We purchased in April and in May I started noticing a burnt smell when passing and accelerating hard. It lasts maybe 15 minutes at most. I've had the ac off and on, circulating and noncirculating, and it still smells. But only when doing a hard acceleration. It quit doing it for a month and today I noticed it was back. I tried searching the forum and Google with no real luck or solution. Has this already been asked and answered? Any resolutions?
Samurai Edge Posted yesterday at 04:49 PM Report Share Posted yesterday at 04:49 PM Where is the burnt smell coming from? Is this from / through the A/C vents?
hepps
It does seem to come in through the ac vent. I got out and smelled around the tires, but I didnt smell it.
Samurai Edge
I would suggest checking all your belts to see if of the are loose / worn and over-spinning when you pass / hard accelerate. Ask me how I know. 2
