Redesigned seals put in on repairs 1 &2, new PTU put in on repair #3, axle & seal replaced repair #4. Don't know what is next. I refuse to drive it in when it is leaking so as to avoid further damage to the transmission - the fluid is usually down at least 1 qt. jourabchid Posted June 11, 2010 Report Share Posted June 11, 2010 the smell is back!!! its been 3 months since i had the seal replaced.. i took it to the dealer and they say there is no leak, i can only recreate the smell after driving for 20+ minutes and coming to a stop, how can i show this to the dealer, if its intermittient, and they have some tech with no sense of smell!! any suggestions? it smells like rotten eggs, or some foul farts... Are you sure it's not the car beside you? I was very sensitive to the smell as well but some time it was not me. Every time there is change of smell I would freak out.
