DJ Nap
The other day, while applying the brakes at 45mph, the pedal felt really stiff and then began to soften up. Since then, while applying the brakes at low speeds (neighborhoods, parking lots), the pedal hisses, much louder than a normal hiss. It stops normal, however, at hwy speed I did a panic brake test and the pedal was very stiff. 40K miles on the Edge - anyone experience this? Hurtman
Sounds like it'd time for a brake job.
druck52
Sounds like it'd time for a brake job. Needing a brake job would have nothing to do with his symptoms. If he has a hissing sound and a hard pedal, the only thing that can cause that is a vacuum leak. to me it sounds like the booster is leaking. I'll check into the booster thing. Thx!
