dasher Posted April 13, 2010 Report Share Posted April 13, 2010 (edited) Wow! Could changing the oil on my 2010 Edge Limited be any easier? I used to have a 2001 Ford Focus ZTS before the Edge. I had to deal with ramps and an ill placed oil filter that was slightly pointed downwards and hard to reach. Because it was slightly pointed downwards, the filter leaked lots of oil all over me and on to the right front axle as soon as I started to unscrew it. What a mess!! No matter how well I cleaned up the oil from the axle the inside of the car would smell like oil for a few days. Now, I just have to slide under the front bumber without the need for jacks or ramps. The oil filter is right there pointing straight up minimizing the amount of oil that leaks and there is nothing below it for the oil to leak onto! This alone makes this car worth it for me!
