flightplannerjim
I am a soon-to-be owner of a 2011 Edge Ltd which is going to be a great ride, I'm sure. However, I do not like the stock radio antenna which looks like a piece of a metal coat hanger stuck on the top of the car. Has anyone replaced theirs with one of the short, stubby types? Does the stock antenna just unscrew from its mount? What size thread is it? Does the stubby antenna degrade the radio reception? I'd like to put one of those 2 1/2" ones on there if it would fit and still allow reception. Any help and suggestions are much appreciated. Thanks. Jim Check Ebay, I have one of the silver adjustable type, my Edge is silver...as for reception slightly less, see specs, link below I never did a comparison with the stock but seems to be OK for me, no complaints. I had one on my Mazda 3 and had a slight lower reception strength. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Z-Black-short-stubby-3-fixed-length-adjustable-antenna-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem35a12beaa5QQitemZ230337276581QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories Edited March 4, 2011 by 1duFos
