In my experience, the machines used are air powered and use various tools to remove and install the new tires. It seems like the process would damage the plastic surface. Anyone have any experience with this? They're not any more susceptible to that type of damage than any other wheel. I've never had a problem with 18s nor have I heard of anyone having problems.
