I placed my order July 24th, but since production didn't start until the middle of September not too long of a wait, I guess.

I got the camel interior, loaded with everything but nav. The 22 mpg is because they have readjusted the EPA methods of estimating mileage. It's the same as the 24 for the '07. I think they've lowered the estimates by 12%.

Just got word that my '08 White Sand Limited AWD was produced on 10/9. It should be here in about two weeks. CAN'T WAIT!!!! I will definitely be posting pictures. :happy feet:

Mine was ordered on 7/24. It has a segment date of 8/20. I'm not real sure what this means; however, below are the particulars on mine: White AWD Limited Camel Interior 20" Chrome Clad Wheels All Season mats Cargo Management System Trailer Towing Package Sync (of course) BAMR Power liftgate Sirius This is worse than Christmas. At least at Christmas you know when you will open your presents. I hate waiting!

I've got two very large black labs and I think the Edge will be just fine with the seats down. I'm planning on taking my dogs for may rides once my 2008 arrives. I'm probably going to get the Weathertech rear cargo liner and will look at some kind of protection for the back of the rear seats. The only negative I have with my 2003 Expedition is the dog hair that gets trapped in the cloth and carpet in the rear, so I'm going to try and minimize that in the Edge. Hope this helps.

The little bumpers actually attach to the back of the bug deflector itself, not on the hood.

Just spoke with my dealer and he said all vehicles they have ordered show a production date of 10/15 but that should improve. He did confirm that my vehicle now has an assigned VIN. Won't be too long now, I hope. :hyper: White AWD Limited, BAMR, Sync, 20s

With the ability to attach an iPod or other types of mp3 players you will have up to 60 gb of music storage. One thing I'm going to try when I finally get mine is to see if a laptop hard drive will be recognized by the Sync system. If it does then you could have more storage that most people will ever need.

I have to admit this is probably the single most reason that I've ordered a 2008 instead of jumping for a 2007. It's all about the toys!

So how does it look for those of us that ordered at the end of July? I've ordered a white AWD Limite, with BAMR, 20's but no Nav?

The last I heard from my dealer on the 2008s is that Ford has not assigned order numbers yet and wasn't real sure when they would start.

Correct me if I'm wrong but the 4 new colors are in addition to the colors available on the '07. They are not replacement colors.

I ordered mine 2 1/2 weeks ago and was told 6 to 8 weeks. I checked Tuesday and still no order number from the factory. This is worse than Christmas, cause I know what the present is and I don't want to wait. Mike

Hey, everyone, ordered a 2008 White Sand AWD Edge two weeks ago. Should be in late September. Would have bought a 2007 but no white. Not sure what Ford was thinking there, but glad they added white to the lineup in 2008. I didn't want to break the string. This will be our tenth white vehicle. I'm replacing a 2003 Expedition with all of the bells and whistles but don't need that much room any longer. Being a techno geek I'm really looking forward to playing with the Sync system. Didn't bother with the DVD GPS (just mapquest in the dash) but other than that my new Edge is loaded. Even went with the 20's. I'll update when it gets closer to delivery.
