  1. I personally know that one in the photo, it's my cousin. And he was also smuggled in by a mule from the middle east. INS has him up for deportation, even after he co-operated with them. Your doing a hell of a job, Brownie!
  2. Appropriated from, who knows where: From the county where drunk driving is considered a sport, comes this true story. Recently a routine police patrol parked outside of a bar in Arizona. After last call the officer noticed a man leaving the bar so apparently intoxicated that he could barely walk. The man stumbled around the parking lot for a few minutes, with the officer quietly observing. After what seemed an eternity in which he tried his keys on five different vehicles, the man managed to find his car and fall into it. He sat there for a few minutes as a number of other patrons left the bar and drove off on to I-10. Finally he started the car, switched the wipers on and off -- it was a fine, dry summer night -- flicked the blinkers on and off a couple of times, honked the horn and then switched on the lights. He moved the vehicle forward a few inches, reversed a little and then remained still for a few more minutes as some more of the other patrons' vehicles left. At last, when his was the only car left in the parking lot, he pulled out and drove slowly down the road. The police officer, having waited patiently all this time, now started up his patrol car, put on the flashing lights, promptly pulled the man over on the I-10 shoulder and administered a breathalyzer test. To his amazement, the breathalyzer indicated no evidence that the man had consumed any alcohol at all !!! Dumbfounded, the officer said, I'll have to ask you to accompany me to the police station. This breathalyzer equipment must be broken." "I doubt it," said the truly proud Arizonian, "Tonight I'm the designated decoy."
  3. Annie, you do tend to inflame people with your bush photo's and Avatar. I personally think the Secret Service has done one Hell of a job, Brownie!
  4. Don't blame Ford, blame the Fed. Gov. Those headrest's were upgraded by them, to protect 5 more lives per year. That center headrest in the rear isn't actually mandated yet, but it's been installed in some vehicles since '05 I think. I hated when they had to put in a Third high mounted brake light, first in cars, then truck's. By law 06/07 this year I have to start wearing a seat belt. I'm am soooooooo glad someone is looking out for me, I thought that was my Guardian Angel's job.
  5. Pioneer makes the head unit, Navteq does the navigation part. As for nav upgrades, their is one already, it's called a new DVD map. Comes out every year. Don't think you'll see any collaboration between Navigation and Sync or you'd be reading about that now when you read something about Sync. Commands and function that the system recognizes are listed in the back part of a menu screen for the navigation. The '07 ones show it, but it wouldn't work until Ford sync'ed it with the ability to respond to voice
  6. The only reason I can figure out people must be complaining about the headrest's, must be because they sit with the seat so far upright. Notice how it bothers some and not others? I have the seat all the way back/down, and steering column all the way in/up. When I look to my left, I'm looking at the B pillar.
  7. Congrat's! I stopped and looked at an '08 MKX today. Looks like mine is going to be getting it's Third Nav/ Radio. in less than 2500 miles. Make sure when you drive your's, your wearing light colored clothing. Wonder if anyone makes a sheep skin covering for those seats yet? White of course. I never thought my commutes might be because of the earth slowing down, I figured I was arriving late everywhere, because the Universe was expanding. Let's keep this to ourselves, this will upset the others, But that white is what all the other Edge's aspire to be.

  9. Why? You don't have the kit yet, I can tell, Because if you did, that isn't needed. I'll repeat this. Take your fingernails and pry up the trim ring around your PRNDL where the shifter is. Next , open your center console and with the same force you used on that ring, pry up the plastic that goes down along the drive-shaft hump. That's all you have to do, but you don't even need to pry up that plastic. Your just going to apply an applique on top of that plastic. IF you want to see what pictures look like, do a SEARCH for a PRNDL LIGHT and you'll see that the shifter pad has nothing to do with any of this. Actually why would you want to remove those leather pads from the shifter? I think you need to look at those pictures.
  10. While your at it, look for replacement LED lamps at the brightest level you can get. Whatever you find, post the link/part number for others. When one person gets their original Tail-Lamp packages back, then the next person, would be looking at 2 weeks til he got his back, (shipping time/cost from one group member to the other) You might try a post in the Group Buy forum, stating your ideas and get a list of people. Would it work? Until the first person that is set to mail them to the next decides not to, or until he gets ready to visit UPS. You'd be better off, taping red plastic over the... oops, their would be no bulbs to shine without those Tail-Lamps there.... You'd just have to let it sit for a week til yours returned.
  11. There are laws about the tint to windows, I don't know what their is about lumen output of lamps. But worth trying to find out. I had a Pontiac Fiero once with dark tinted lenses from the factory. Lamps may need to be replaced is all. Kinda upsets me to see my small town pit-bull of a cop sitting along side the road with Limo-tint to his windows. If it is a RED glow, when lit, then a DARK color shouldn't matter at all. They did look nice, and if the reflective properties still remain after tint, I'd assume it's all legit.
  12. Since over 100,000 have been sold and only 1500 people have logged on here, and of those only 1 report. I'd assume that is a failure rated of what? .067% "At least 5 times during that trip home , my wheels locked and the vehicle stopped in the middle of the road and did not respond to acceleration. the brakes locked so abruptly my mother thought something dropped fron the vehicle." Abruptly stopped with smoking tires? Abruptly, didn't cause someone to get thrown towards the dash? Pushing on the gas pedal didn't increase the RPM's? Not enough info to make any type of determination as to the real problem. You just have to wait to see if the original poster does a follow up. Too many people won't followup when the real problem becomes known. (fly6-HID lights)
  13. Unless you have a dyno, you don't really know if that is snake oil or not. Those induction boxes are tuned and set up at the factory for max performance. I can tell you that those K&N type filters will lead to accelerated engine wear, because of elevated silicone residues in the oil, attributed to poorer filtration than a standard filter.
  14. Do a SEARCH... I uploaded the complete X-pin info in a post. Yes, what he did was non-approved by Ford. And the pin is only good for 30 days. And if not used it counts against the person who issued it. It is a Friends and Neighbor/Family price offered by Ford Employees.
  15. Buy them both and get rid of the one you don't like.
  16. I really hate to spell this out to you, but IF you also use the tools that are available on here, YOU TOO can see it. WTF, do you think I make this crap up? Please keep us informed of you Lemon law suit. I'll let others see the similarities in the sweetie link. We all get a chuckle out of it, but I guess that passed over your head too. SOME ONE pass me the jet fuel!
  17. Ahh, I just noticed that between those dates, B/F turned into husband. Figured you had gotten married. Anyways Sweetie6116 had problems similar to yours.
  18. It looks like a girly-man vehicle to me. Not even something any respectable womanly doctor would be caught in. Abrannan posted some pic's of a Mazda sporting black wheels, and that looked like a 1/2 ute.
  19. LINK "Although the Lexus brand name offers its customers a stronger belief in reliability and durability, the MKX product characteristics and features, specifically in areas as interior design, quality and roominess, offered at a lower price, makes each dollar spent on the MKX a better choice than the RX350."
  20. Those other products are cheaper, but YOU have to install it. Do a search and see how many queations have been asked as to how to go about wiring them up.
  21. just go to the gallery at the top of the page and look
  22. Wheels will get the dirty-est. The stock have some meat to them. If you can envision what Black Pearl/Opal would look like, Yours have the meat there, that people would actually see that they had a custom job done on them, and wonder where did he get those? Then the whole bottom would be all black. I do like the new 20's from the factory. Even one's off a F-series. Lot of money for new tires and wheels. Realistically, in 6 years you probably won't have the Edge anymore, and the new wheels will only return you $1 when you turn it in. Cars = BAD BAD investment. Save the money for your kids, they don't care what kinda wheels you have.
