uhmmm.... Perhaps your last vehicle had one, but for the 4 brands of Ford's I've driven their is NO chime for the fuel warning. And your fuel warning is also based on the mile's left, that is sitting on top of your reserve. I've driven past the 0 miles left. I've driven 30 miles past the 0 miles left actually. I have also noticed I can drive a heck of a lot longer than that, if I switch it over to the metric reading when it get's low and drive for what seems forever that way.

I'd be a little on edge about this.

I bet if you held the plate up to your bumper, right in the middle, the mounting holes in the plate would match those 2 holes in your bumper, perfectly.

Well,, piss.... Tomorrow is Thanksgiving, and Monday I had put the Lincoln back into the shop for it's THIRD Nav/Radio. Couple of weeks ago, my sound had disappeared completely again. But this time, their were no trouble codes associated with the unit. I just called to see if it was ready. They can't find the problem now. They put the new radio in and their are now codes being returned that deal with the speaker volume switch on the steering wheel, and also a speed code. Service manager said he's been in touch with some factory people and they say they never heard of this.. LOL LOL Now their running down wiring in the vehicle to see if they can find something. I get to drive an Escape to Grandma's for the holiday's, happy happy joy joy. I wish Zippy had reported back what her problem was. I know I will for further reference to others. When I put it in the shop, I asked if there was a separate power amp for this, but I got no answer. I do not know if it's all in the head unit or not, but I do know it has a fan that runs in the radio when you turn it on, you can hear that if you listen for it, without the engine running, and no volume up.

Helicopters have those now? Black or Red?

So far, it's just been deny deny deny, the same I do to my wife even if I'm caught. But there is NO denying that when the Pinto started out, the vast right wing majority of them were RED and definately during the fires remained so. The reliability issues are pointing towards them and starting to send up the RED flags. WHY oh why, did someone in the glass tower take the RED pill, Escape's me. Then they turn right around and insert RED right under the driver's bottom in the new ones. They can hope and remain quiet all they want, that it will go away, but to those people who are having all those problems, you just can't term it a lighter shade of pale. I'm going to have to google to see if web sites have popped up now about this, if not now, then when? If not when... then they've effectivly sweep it under a rug so far. And no I don't have black helicopters near my house, YET!

Couple of thing's, I caught the trade-in before; yet, even the dealer addon's isn't a comparison to use. Sure it can be used when comparing Orangatang's to Low-Land Gorrilla's, but not everyone has the same Sales Tax. Basically the best price is what you and the Dealer are happy to walk away from each other, with. For my Hybrid, I got the dealer to throw in for free the Rainsuit your suppose to wear while driving in the rain. I never add that in when discussing the price. That's an aftermarket item.

Yes, I posted about it in another thread. Roads don't change that much, it's the ancillary info on the disk, Men's Club's, Liquor Stores, thing's like that, that change the most.

Really a LOT of vehicles are at or in the 30's, so the Edge isn't that expensive. It is to you, because it's your money. Here is what most people just do not realize. Ford does offer just about everything you want. But not everything at the price points you want them at. So lets take those seats for example. Basic seat to top of the line seat. I'm thinking over 15+K difference to move up. Here is what I noticed in '00 with an Explorer. Your options were, Explorer, Mercury Mariner, Explorer Eddie Bauer and then Explorer Limited. Each different level got you different options and refinements. If you mention anything like this while shopping, the sales people will steer you towards exactly what you may be looking for. You have 4 kids, they would steer you towards a different vehicle. All thou some are putting them in the back on weathertech mats, and I applaud that. When I saw what the Lincoln started at. That was enough right there for me to look further into it. So you can still add another 9K onto that and max it out too. I have yet to figure out how to adjust those lumbars... are they to be soft or hard? or what? But I do know one thing that makes it worth it. Once you sit on a seat that is cooling you down, you will probably never want to sit on anything else. Same in the winter for heating you up.
