  1. You'd have to go pretty close to WOT to feel it in a 3.5L Edge. It would be much easier to feel it in a 2.7L EB FWD.
  2. It's not something that can be "fixed" although it can be greatly reduced with smart engineering. It only occurs with higher hp vehicles with transverse engines. You won't see it in low power econoboxes or 2.5L Fusions, etc. Part of it comes from the engine itself wanting to rotate at high rpm. You can see this in old muscle cars where the engine visibly moves a few inches as you rev it. The other part is because the engine is transverse the transmission is on one side. This makes one axle shaft long and the other one short. This creates an imbalance of torque going to the front wheels causing one side to pull harder. Worn ball joints would just allow this to happen more easily. The fact that it's always to the right is because of the engine rotation and axle shaft orientation - it will always pull that way even with good ball joints.
  3. That's due to the torque of the engine and unequal length axle shafts.
  4. Pretty much. I would just get out as much as possible with the baster and replace it. Be sure to move the steering lock to lock a few times to get out any bubbles. It's not hygroscopic like brake fluid.

    Tire Pressure

It doesn't matter whether they set the pressure correctly or not - it changes over time and it changes with temps not to mention slow leaks. You should always check tire pressure with a proper gauge periodically.
  6. Tranny and brake fluid for sure. Power steering is easy.
  7. Possible. See if Tirerack shows the same wheel for both.
  8. Don't think Taurus/explorer wheels will fit.

    Tire Pressure

35 is correct if that's what the placard says. The toms warning won't come on until it's below 26 (25% low).
  10. Have them put it on the rack and check the ball joints. They don't need to drive it for that.
  11. Was the differential hot or cold? When hot the fluid will expand. But why are you changing it at 27K? I don't recall any problems with the rear diff that would warrant early fluid changes.
  12. They only needed the direct connection to a sample vehicle to crack the CANBUS protocols and figure out the controls. Once they do that they can access any vehicle via the internet.
  13. If not it's probably just the button that's worn out. You might want to just buy 2 new IKTs. You'll have to get the dealer to program a new key anyway. You can't do it yourself with just one.
  14. It will carry over - I'm sure it's the same exact design/materials. It probably comes off during installation which is why it seems to affect so many vehicles. These little problems (and a few big ones) are becoming tiresome. I was writing most of these off to Ford trying to do too much work at the same time converting 3 different vehicles to new platforms (Focus, Fusion and Escape). But this is still happening. I think they're cutting too many corners on the engineering side.
  15. Then my guess would be either a bad fob or a bad battery in the fob.
  16. You shouldn't add an internet connection to the infotainment system without a firewall and/or vpn connection and other security measures. It also appears that CANBUS is not a very secure protocol and is easily hacked once you get access to it. This wasn't a problem before wi-fi and bluetooth since you had to physically plug into the vehicle. This is what happens when car people try to do networking. This is IT 101 stuff.
  17. Tirerack.com has plenty of cheap 17" and 18" winter wheel and tire packages that are less than $1K total.
  18. I didn't read 51 pages from the f150forum - does that indicate Ford knows about the problem?
  19. Ask Siri "what is zero divided by zero"
  20. As long as you don't say "breaks" instead of "brakes" you'll be ok.......
  21. It's like paying full price for a shirt that is supposed to be on sale and when you go back to the store to complain about them overcharging you they say "oops, you caught us. Here's a refund."
  22. If it occurred in 2 different vehicles made in 2 different plants then I'm assuming it's a design flaw in the duct connection. Sounds easy enough to fix on your own but I bet Ford will issue a TSB to the dealers on how to fix it.
  23. Not necessarily. Lincolns sometimes have different seats and/or different materials especially compared to lower level trim Edges. I'll see if Fordparts.com has any diagrams.
