  1. You have something against Allen wrenches? They're the best!
  2. You could pay someone to copy all your cds to a usb stick once and it would be cheaper, faster and easier than trying to upgrade to a 6 cd changer. But suit yourself.
  3. Why on earth would you want a 6 cd changer when you can put 10 times that much on a usb stick with full voice control?
  4. Todd will put more effort into it than the normal customer service reps who deal with hundreds of phone calls each day. He'll get it escalated to the right folks who may be able to help.
  5. They only count sales when they're delivered to the customer. Orders don't count. It's a combination of new sales plus sales of existing 2014s that were already on the lots.
  6. It's called a PM - Private Message. You go back to the post by Ford Service http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/12199-2011-edge-limited-driver-door-ajar-issue/?p=117578 Put your cursor on the member name and you should get a popup window, click on Send Message. Or click on Ford Service and select Send Message.
  7. Stubborn much? Todd and the other folks from Ford Service here and on other social media/forums will escalate your case within Ford and get much more attention than just calling the phone number. Of course if you'd rather just bitch and moan about it than actually get it repaired, that's up to you.
  8. Todd is with Ford customer service and may be able to get some assistance for you due to the low mileage. It won't hurt to ask.
  9. That's what I'm saying - if the PCM is reading the voltage incorrectly it may be reducing the alternator output. Which would explain why replacing the alternator doesn't fix it. I don't think erasing the memory would help - in this case it would have to be a faulty sensor, wiring or a bad PCM. Could still be the alternator or wiring. A good electrical tech should be able to pinpoint it with the right test equipment.
  10. If you have a smartphone you have a wifi hotspot that can be used in any vehicle at any time, can be upgraded at any time and you get your choice of carriers and data plans. Built in wifi is much less flexible and in most cases redundant. It's great advertising but not all that useful for most buyers - like Onstar.
  11. Could be the PCM not instructing the alternator to put out enough power. You should be above 14 volts with the engine running no matter what accessory is on or the state of the battery.
  12. 200,000 miles at 20 mpg = 10,000 gallons of gas at $3/gallon average = $30K in fuel costs!
  13. But no drain like that would drain the battery while it's being driven. That's why it sounds like the alternator or connection from the alternator to the battery.
  14. ABS only comes on when the ABS is defective. The others are some combination of headlamps, parking lamps, fog lamps and high beams.
  15. I just bought a solar battery tester and ctek charger/conditioner so I can tell exactly what's going on with the battery in these new vehicles. If the voltage is dropping while the vehicle is running that certainly points to the alternator. Maybe it's the wiring/connection from the alternator to the battery? I assume the new battery was retested as well?
  16. That's generally true. They park them as closely as possible so it's usually last one in, first one out. This was a big problem during the Fusion/MKZ launch in 2012 when they had thousands of vehicles that had to be held and in some cases shipped to a different plant. This is also why they only build dealer stock orders initially for a new model so that the ones that get stuck in limbo are not customer orders.
  17. Not just the wheel bearings but the fit of the wheel onto the hub. Factory wheels should be fine but you never know. Another option is to have them balance the wheels on the vehicle to account for the entire rotating mass including the rotor and hub. BTW - there is no such thing as a RWD Edge - only FWD or AWD. I assume you meant AWD. Even if the rear diff isn't engaged the driveshaft is still spinning and if it's out of balance you could get a vibration.
  18. This. If it's something that can be added later easily they may build them and hold them. It probably depends on how busy the line is and what other vehicles are in queue, etc. etc. but it does happen. Wheels would be a good example - easy to swap out later. Or trim pieces.
  19. 90% of peak torque at 1700 rpm would be a good guess. It builds pretty quickly at low RPM.
  20. Snake oil. Don't trust anything that modifies sensor signals. You can get tunes that advance the timing and some that boost the max turbo pressure, both of which require premium fuel in most cases. Anything else is a waste of time and money.
  21. What kind of wine is it? Chardonnay or Chianti?
  22. The battery drain is probably caused by the bad shift to park sensor. It's easy to fix - just swap out the shifter assembly. If you put on new tires and the vibration persists, it's probably not the tires. Check the rotors for damage. It could also be the driveshaft.
