Chose the Conti's just because I didn't like their busy trad pattern. Looks like they will pick up a lot of stones.

285's will fit no problem. I wanted 40 series rubber for a bit more sidewall on my Explorer.

You're confused! First you say you're going to sell your stock rims, then you say they have to go back cause it's a lease!!! ....and yes, you don't get 'powder coating' off, has to be media blasted.
-
So get the older Sport 22's.

It's a 'forum'. People post a lot of pics, it's not magic. You want to sell something, but don't want to look into 'how to'??? No one wants to see pics of online wheels/ tires, they want to see 'yours', for any curb rash/ tire wear etc. As mentioned, get a 'Photobucket' account, upload pics there, highlight the 'IMG' code, copy/paste into your post here. So simple! You should get a computer,

Pictures are worth a thousand words!

Like them so much, I even have both versions on my Explorer! :happy feet:

They sold, thanks for your input!

Im selling my early Edge Sport All Chrome 22'' wheels. Someone is interested as to whether they will fit a 2008 Edge. Will there be an issue with the hub size?

Why are you considering going from 20 to 18? That will really negatively impact the look/wheel gap on your car. The third wheel (enkie) look really ghetto. I'm thinking all those wheels are heavy Chinese, hence the cheap price.

changed the tires and wheels, asking for opinions

Those wheels are an easy fix! Not like they curbed, and ripped open. I don't get whey you didn't go that route. The 18's might be a bit lighter , not if they're from China cheapies. Don't like all black wheels. -

Post some good large close up pics of the damaged ones. Why don't you try and get them fixed? Other than looking odd with those skinny 235/18's on SPORT, your not going to do any harm to the car -

Why are you asking the question after the fact? These are snow tires you installed? If not, why so skinny? IMO, 18's on a Sport look , after all that's why people buy the Sport cause the 22's make the car...look 'Sportier'. -
Look at my post above. I have the 285's on Edge Sports, but in 40 series. I had no problems with the Pirelli's, but they do not come in a 40, only 35 which I feel is too low for a heavy SUV on pot holed streets. The only other brand that I would consider was Yokohama that came in a '40', but hated the tread pattern. I end up going with the Contisportcontact 5P even though they cost $168.25 USD (tire rack) per tire plus tax more than the Yokohama's... but I like the tread pattern! I tried to get them through my selling dealer, but they could/would not get them. I'm curious what the 'price match' price was in a post above. These are expensive tires, not listed for Fords, but for Mercedes, so I'm really surprised that that his dealer did that, lucky him.

Gangsta! That's what I'm talkin' about...NOT.

I got mine yesterday, 285/40's.

265/40/22 P's are 34lbs. You have to read the specs on Tirerack. 70 lbs. are cement tires! Today I had Contisportcontact 5P 285/40/22's installed on my new Edge Sport wheels, they are 37 lbs.

Ordered the Conti's Wed., will get them installed next week on my Exploer LTD.
