  1. i'm talking about the speedo and rpm gauge
  2. the more i looked it looks like maybe it was a 2011 thing?
  3. This might be a stupid question but in Ford's videos they show the gauge sweep on start-up. Is this a setting? Cause mine don't do it. Obviously not important, just odd I've seen all these videos in which it happens but not on mine.
  4. The phrase "if it sounds to good to be true, it probably is" should be applied to any and all of these chips that people try to sell. can even apply the phrase "you get what you pay for" either way, scam.
  5. i researched chrome clad and I think why the dealer says they can't just replace the cladding is because it is glued or somehow adhered to the wheel and not just snapped in place like a hub cap. but i did look on ebay for you as konabluesport said and it looks like you can get a replacement wheel for $300.
  6. glad I saw this thread as I gave my edge sport it's first full bath since taking ownership of it 2 weeks ago and noticed all the scratches in the polished aluminum. Figured I'd try to hand polish it a bit with some Meguiars 205 but that didn't do anything. So now I see that is how it's supposed to be. One thing that sucks is they didn't do a good job cleaning the residue off the wheels that was left on from the plastic covers and also they didn't do a good job taking those covers off because its still all stuck between the tire and wheel lip, going to need tweezers to pull it out. I did noticed a few pits in the surface of one wheel which although minute, not real happy about. What can you do though.
  7. via syncmyride.com, it will either tell you the latest update to it there or you put a file on a usb drive put that in the car and it will save the version number to it.
  8. ^this, you don't need to blow up the battery
  9. Are the 22's on the sport cleared on the chrome or straight chrome? Asking for detailing purposes as I see a lot of scratches in them. Never mind I see they are cleared. But OP if I were you I'd see about buying one off that site instead of paying full price.
  10. I am pretty sure only the driver door and passenger front door have sensors on them. But when it unlocks it does them all.
  11. I have a hard time believing Lincoln would use any plastic on wheels. I could be wrong though.
  12. increase brightness some so you could see it. but after looking more, it definitely appears water is coming in from the weep holes now.
  13. i'd venture out and say no it probably won't change it.
  14. get a good all purpose cleaner and scrub them good, you can try folex, or I use Meguiars APC+. What would really work though is if you had a carpet extractor, that would clean them well. But I'd soak them down and try a good cleaner and scrub them, and if you have a wet/dry shop vac vacuum them after that.
  15. he actually used the front ones for the rear. although he must have got them with the ford logo on them.
  16. yeah it can be done with the ford ones, just have to pretty much not follow the directions and put them how you like them. I got them online through the accessory site and picked them up at the dealer, I was able to get them for $26 after tax.
  17. Today it was raining pretty hard but it still seams that some water got in that region between the door and the rocker, sigh. Although it could be water coming from the weep holes too, so who knows, it looked dirty but not as dirty as before i'd say.
  18. So I installed them tonight and pretty much had to make my own holes for everything but I think it they came out looking nice. Might have to get a set for the rear now just but I'll have to wait and see how it look out of the garage and in day light tomorrow. It's supposed to rain tomorrow so I should be able to see if they actually prevent all that water and dirt from getting on the rocker panel inside the door frame. Without further ado here are some pictures, any questions feel free to ask. Used my iPhone for pics so I apologize for quality and darkness of some. Started by using the R hole, but that put them a little low so I drilled another hole about a half inch below it. then I had to modify the splash guard a bit by cutting it as you can see this is where I drilled another hole for the other stock screw drilled another hole to add another screw just to keep it secure here you can see where I added that.
  19. picking them up today so I'll be installing them this evening.
  20. are you starting the car or just accessory?
  21. did you make sure the fuse was seated correctly?
  22. when i pulled my fuse at first it was blank, then i think i tapped the screen and it started the diagnostics or if you wait it should go into the diagnostics test.
  23. I went ahead and bought these: http://accessories.ford.com/splash-guards-flat-molded-2-pc-kit-for-front-only.html So we'll see how they look and function.
  24. Has anyone installed mud flaps on their edge sport? I know I've read some people say that with the side skirts on the sport there is a lot of dirt that collects on them, especially when it rains. I'm just wondering if installed some mud flaps would prevent this. But I'd want something that looks nice.
  25. i think the guy who installed the brembo's also had to install 1/4" spacers so they fit with the stock 22's
