  1. yes you can buy the parts from that site. as far as any of the other questions i have no idea. talking to a body shop seems to be your best bet right now.
  2. yeah you shouldn't be using a drill to polish, one as you stated you have to keep changing batteries and two as akirby said you can burn through your paint. Get a DA polisher and save yourself lots of time. You should go to autogeek.net or some kind of detailing site and learn more before you do something wrong.
  3. I'll leave it to someone who has that style bumper, I have a 2012 and I've only had it for a month and a half now. So I don't know how any of that stuff comes off. edit: this might help you http://mechanixtrix.com/Article/Article.aspx?ArticleId=405
  4. no idea, i heard it's pretty easy to take the bumpers off these cars so I'm assuming one can do it them-self if they are handy.
  5. according to fordparts.com it is part number 17K945 and is $22.72 or 51.35, not sure what the difference is in the two, one says with trailer towing and the other is without. just go on there go to your year and model then body -> bumper -> and view image for what you need.
  6. thinking of getting a set for the rears to just to complete the look. at times it looks out of place just having the front done. opinions?
  7. you aren't going to get good results with that ball. if you want good results get yourself a dual action polisher like porter cable, griot's garage, or meguiars. My favorite out of those 3 is the griot's.
  8. right, real logical, if you are at 1 and hit up it goes to 2, up = add, down = subtract, makes sense. if you are watching tv and hit the up channel button does it go down? no
  9. is there even an oil temp gauge?
  10. i actually prefer the steering wheel controls now, they function how they do in most cars, up goes to up and down goes down.
  11. you can swirl it on or do straight lines, doesn't matter, just make sure they are even coats. a good test to see if it is ready to come off is to use your finger and wipe a spot and if it smears it isn't ready.
  12. think you posted in wrong section, but you should search around first since there are lots of answers to this. http://www.fordedgeforum.com/index.php?/topic/9216-hid-kit-retrofit-conversion-installation-video/
  13. if you get the meguiars da or any da for that matter, good pads to use at home would be this kit. http://www.autogeek.net/da-microfiber-starter-kit-5in.html. or look into the lake country hydro-tech pads. i use those and like them on my griot's garage da.
  14. actually you'd be surprised how some oils are in certain motors. when i had my mazdaspeed6 (manual states 5w30) i did many oil analysis' comparing amsoil (5w40), pennzoil platinum (5w30) and shell rotella t6 (5w40) and the shell rotella came back with the best wear and least fuel dilution and held up the best. so even though you think one brand isn't better than another, you are wrong until you get your oil analyzed.
  15. i'll let ya know, how long does it usually take to get stuff from ddm? also remember the color will probably look more true with my 35w kit then with a 55w since they aren't as bright.
  16. yeah I'm just going for practicality. I just bought the DDM tuning 35w 4500k 9006 kit so I'll post up how that goes for me.
  17. was your 35w kit DDM? I'm torn between 35w 4500k for $55 shipped or 55w 5000k with wire harness for $81 shipped.
  18. saynt, how would you rate the light output from the 35w hid kit in comparison to the stock lights?
  19. do you have navigation? if so the new SD card should have come, if not you should call Ford, but only if you have navigation.
  20. my traffic was slow to show up this morning but it finally did. it was definitely easier to see on the old map but i think they didn't want to take away from the map as much this time.
  21. there would be no point to putting cquartz over opti-coat and if you put it on the windshield using the windshield wipers will just wear it off, but it would be fine on the other windows I suppose.
  22. that is a great idea, i have some plasti-dip i could use just to see.
  23. well you'll have to let me know how it goes. doesn't look hard to take those pieces out except they have that stupid star pattern with a peg in it, so gotta find one of those.
