I don't like how at the home screen it says entertainment instead of the song that's playing with the artist. and if you are in another screen i don't like how it isn't two lines on other tabs just 1 line and scrolls.

My update finished in about 45min or so. No issues so far, just waiting for my new nav card.

yeah well you need to take areodynamics into consideration as well as vehicle weight. those are all cars and don't weigh as much. like comparing apples and oranges.

ha well techincally you don't have to idle your car, as they state if you are going for a drive that will take about 30-45min to do it then, that way you aren't just idling. but yeah it does suck you have to waste gas doing it. go siphon some out of a car on the lot, haha, i'm kidding.

all I have to say is then why did you buy the Ford, if you could have got that feature on another car? the way you came about the whole thing was that you were the most important thing in the world and that turning your lights off is to much of a task. had you come across and said "has anyone hooked up an auto on/off kit for the edge that doesn't have that feature?" would have been taken much better then the way you put it. I know I shouldn't respond to your threads, but when you go and attach my post I have to.

yeah I read that wrong, I read panic button and not push button. I think all he would need to do is disassemble it and try and find something smaller to put the chip in that talks to the car. But I would probably buy another cheap one off ebay and program it before I took apart the ones that came with the car.

I'm confused, so you want a key fob with no buttons but still have features such as unlock and lock, trunk open, and panic button? How do you want to activate them without buttons, I know you can unlock/lock via handle, but panic button? Telepathy?

people are going to jump at you when you come out posting that you got a ticket for not turning your lights on because apparently Ford was to stupid to implement this feature for you, so it was like you were trying to put blame on them because turning on your headlights is to much for you. FYI other base models on the foreign autos only have auto off, not auto on. So I'm with akirby and dingo. I think akirby is a great moderator, as I've been on forums where if you posted something like that you would have been torn apart, moderators and all, don't believe me go try mazdaspeedforums.org.

now I'm kind of torn between the elph 300 and the sx230, decisions decisions.

Then write Ford a letter and let them know you want auto lights in your base model. They'll probably tell you, well if you add the "convenience" package, take note of the name, for an extra $1000 you can have it. And since you have the sync it would have been much more since that is included in that package as well. But hey, to each their own. If you have superman vision and can see at night that's great, but other people don't and headlights aren't just for you, they are for the people around you too. I'm not lawyering this, this is all "common sense". Other countries are right, Americans are becoming so lazy with technology. I don't feel like starting an argument but it seems silly to me to complain about having to turn on your headlights.

but the Edge does have battery saver, which will turn your lights off after 10min of being left on.

yeah if you are going for the matte black look then go with plasti-dip although it can also be cleared to give it a gloss finish.

really? talking on the phone is more important than turning on the lights to your car? do you put your seatbelt on? you got a base model what do you expect? when you are talking about the lights being as bright as the night lights are you talking about the head lights or interior dash lights?

there have been videos that show it's the same 2 settings for the edge. the images you saw were probably not for the edge.

i'd say the thunk noise is from the condensation or water in between the pad and rotor face causing the pad to momentarily rust to the rotor and once you release the brake the pad is still somewhat stuck to the rotor, so when you start moving it breaks the rust loose and that's the thunk you hear.
