I did the update on my 13 edge from SMR.com Took 2 minutes to download to USB and about 15 to install. Everything seems ok except the temp display on the MFT lags behind the dash display. It's often 1 degree C lower for a few minutes when the temp changes then it's the same. Didn't have to redo any presets or settings. Text to speech still doesn't work. Anyone know a fix for this? Deleted the phone and resynced. Still not working.

I have the same dealer mats in my 13 as C_bova. You would think they could have made a molded 1 piece instead of the stupid flap. Dirt and water always get in the space between the flap and the mat.

At that price, I would buy 2. Lol I purchased nearly the identical vehicle in May. Mine was AWD and cloth interior. All other options the same. $43000 Canadian.

In the event that the update screws up MFT, is there a way to revert back to the previous version? Also, does anyone know if the update fixes any issues with messaging? I used the text to speech for a while and then it stopped working. Doesn't even notify me of a text. Deleted and resynced the phone and nothing.

Prinzll, did your edge have Halogen DRL's or no DRL at all? Curious why you needed to DRL module for the HID's?

I am looking for info from any Canadian edge owners who have converted to HID (DDM or others). In Canada, headlights are used for DRL's. They usually run at a slightly lower output/voltage during the day. I can see it on my 13 SEL when I manually turn the light switch from auto to on. The lights are slightly brighter in the on position. At night, the auto and on are the same brightness. I am wondering if this would cause a problem firing the HID's with the reduced voltage. I guess using a harness with relays would be the other option if the voltage was too low. The relays should still operate slightly below 12 volts.

Has anyone installed a kit into a 2013 yet? I believe the projectors are the same as the 12 but was curious if there were any issues with the install.

I agree the two vehicles are very different. I drove an older CR-V up until this May when I bought my 13 Edge. The Honda was a great vehicle but the ONLY thing the honda had over my edge was fuel economy. Nothing else even comes close. Stiff, choppy and uncomfortable ride. Very underpowered. I looked at the new CR-V's when I started shopping around and with even less interior space than my old one, I felt very crammed into it. My children are 11 and 7 and they needed some extra space in the back as well. My second choice was actually the Nissan Murano. Glad I stuck with my first choice. Edge all the way.

The dealer buffed out as much as they felt comfortable doing without burning through seeing as it's on the corner of the rubber bumper. The raised edges of the scratch were all buffed level with the clearcoat. The scratch went deep enough to show grey so it's the lack of black that makes it noticable. I'm wondering if just some Mr Colourchip to make the grey black would work. I tried to attach some pics yesterday but everytime I try to upload a decent size picture, it ends up being just a 150k thumbnail.. Am I missing a step here?

Went the dealer today and had their best polisher tech work on the scratch. Better but still quite noticable. Does Dr. Colourchip work to fill in scratches or is it just for chips? Scratch is about 4 inches long. I couldn't find the tuxedo metallic black at paintscratch although they had my paint code of UH listed for tuxedo black.

So I come home today and see a nice scrape on the rear driver side bumper. It's deep enough to feel so this wont buff out. Any suggestions on trying to repair it?

I installed the 6k ones and they are not blue at all. In fact, they look more white than my 5k map lights. I will have to turn the bulb to aim the led's up or down a bit. I installed them facing straight out and they are a bit blinding. Lights up your face nice but doesn't help if you cant see the mirror.

You will definately have to put DRL4's on your stroller like the one I saw in Vegas. That will be the talk of the town I'm sure.

Which 13 do you have? My SEL didn't come with a tray. Only the coinholder. Maybe detail didn't put it back???? Anyone else with a Canadian 13 SEL that has a tray from factory?

Dr Pepper on the medium stone interior. It was my neighbors kid. Decides to balance her slurpee cup on the fold down arm rest in the back seat instead of using the cup holder in it. Got it all out though. Not sure if the fabric protection was actually applied on the interior. Spill sure doesn't sit on the surface of the fabric like my previous vehicle. From now on it's Mountain Dew Whte Out or drink it outside.

I got tired of waiting and I ordered the 6k. They hopefully will be here next week. I'll post some comments/pics when they arrive. I used a different LED in the map lights than KC300 did. Mine must be close to 6k because they are a bit more blue than my cargo/reading lamps in the back. The 6k vanity led's should be close to the same temp as the map lights. On another note, can anyone offer instructions on how to remove the vanity light covers?

Looking for some canadian opinions on good fabric cleaner for my seat. Score is Slurpee 1, Edge zero.

FYI the headrests in the 13 edge have a front to back swivel feature that allows you to move the bottom of the headrest forward and back. We have several F-150 service vehicles with the fixed headrests and it's very annoying when the headrest is always touching the back of your head. I am not sure if the cabin on the 13 is different than the 11 but I don't find the console to be a problem. There is plenty of leg room for my 6'2" frame and I the seat isn't even all the way back. Armrests seem to be in the right location as well.

When I took delivery of my 13 edge a couple months ago, one of the first things I noticed was how loud the fan was compared to my previous vehicle. I'm guessing that your dirty filter muffled the sound and changing the filter increased airflow which of course increased the noise.

I put black plastic snap in covers in the holes. Not as nice as no holes but at least it looks finished.

The 2013 rear vents can be closed by simply sliding the deflector over all the way. I'm not sure if this became available in this model year or not.

Yes, the tray is for the storage area behind the console. No wonder it didnt fit in the console. Duh!

I have a useless rubber L shaped piece that came with my 13 SEL. I assume it's some kind of tray for inside the armrest but it doesn't fit nicely anywwhere. It's part number 045G34C on the exploded parts view from Texasopa. Middle of the page, left side. Is this supposed to fit in somewhere?
