  1. Maybe I just put it on too thick and didn't get all of it off. I'll be waxing the rest of the vehicle. I'll go easy on the application and see what that does.
  2. Installed my lights tonight. Connected them to the original light pipe circuit for now. I am heading to my dealer on Monday to look at DRL options. I have a 2013 SEL without HID so I'm hoping the light pipes will show up in my DRL options. I had my DRL function changed from my headlights to the turn signals a couple months ago because I wanted to install HID. Now I can't connect the amber flash on the EDGE2 to the turn signals because they would be on all the time during the day.. If the dealer can't set DRL to light pipes, I'll have to return to headlight DRL and use the harness. Couple things I will mention. After you learn how to remove those clips, they come off real easy. My trick was to slide the screwdriver into the clip from the back rather than just up into the front. What this does is pushes the prongs away from the plastic and allows the clip to slide right off. If you just pull from the front, the prongs dig into the plastic. I also picked up some 1/8" black techflex braided split loom to cover the wires. It looks exactly like the braided portion of the rad hose except much smaller. Looks awesome and 100% OEM. Unless you knew what you were looking for, you would never know the factory didn't install it. Lastly, I used dielectric grease on all the connections. Not sure if it is really required but with all the salt used in winter here, anything that will help keep the connections corrosion free is worth the 4 bucks for the tube. I'll update everyone once I get back from the dealer next week. And Yes, I did go drive around tonight. Even if the lights were at 100%.
  3. So my dealer has agreed to have me pop in and they will connect up their IDS computer to look at ALL the DRL options. I currently have my EDGE2's connected to the light pipe connectors but of course they won't come on until dark or manually operated. The light pipes are supposed to be an available source for DRL. If they are and my dealer activates that function, install is a breeze. No relay or harness. Just the trigger wires.
  4. I can see why some of you are having difficulty removing the clips. The clips have 4 small prongs on the inside that "grab" onto the plastic. If any of the prongs have dug into the plastic, pulling on the clip will only make the prongs dig deeper and the clip nearly impossible to remove. I had a clip that had the prongs dug into the plastic. I had to push the clip on as much as I could and then used a small screwdriver to bend the prong outwards. Clip can then be pulled off.
  5. So the Egde2's only came on when you started the vehicle when wired per instructions? I had my dealer change my factory DRL function from headlights to turn signals. My first thoughts were to use the headlight trigger as noted in the instructions. That would mean when using flash to pass during the day, it would flash the headlights and toggle between dim/bright on the Edge2's. Now I'll have to think that one over. Unluckily, my lights will take a week to hit Canada so I have some time.
  6. Exactly what I was looking for. I think this will help us bumper removal virgins!
  7. Does anyone have a picture of the clips from the side of the bumper? I think seeing how the clip connects may help people determine how to pull the pieces apart.
  8. Awesome job. Thanks a lot. When you are popping the sides off, are you pulling straight out towards the front of the vehicle or somewhat to the side? Any tips on headlight removal? I want to remove mine to custom mount my HID ballasts in the OEM position.
  9. Got my email shipping notification YAY Will take 2 weeks to get to Canada BOO I know what the blurred lights are WOOHOO
  10. I tried the Collinite 845 insulator wax this morning and I must say I was not impressed. I have a 2013 SEL and it's metallic tuxedo black. I only applied it to the hood. It actually looked better before I waxed. I warmed the wax as suggested and did about 1/4 of the hood at a time waiting for it to start to haze and then buffed it off by hand. Has anyone used it on metallic black with better results?
  11. Has anyone used these where the turn signals are DRL's? My Edge uses the bright portion of the front turn signals for DRL. At night, the dim portion of the light comes on and the bright only flashes with turn signal or emergency flashers activation. What config would the amber/white be in this case? White during the day with amber flash for turn signal or other way around?
  12. JohnPR. Try deleted your phone from MFT then default MFT. That's the only way I could get new versions of BB software to work. I have moved on to IPhone. Don't like it as a business device but the inability of Z10 to run my most needed 3 apps was a deal breaker.
  13. It's a rubber cone where the base is only the size of a nickel. I think it needs to be a glue/silicon of some kind.
  14. What type of adhesive should I use to restick the small black rubber cone stand-offs for the OEM bug deflector? I knocked one off waxing. I was going to use contact cement but that might be a biatch to get off if I ever decide not to use the deflector.
  15. My dealer did mine as well. Changed DRL function from the headlights to the high portion of the front turn signals.
  16. SUCCESS! Dealer reprogrammed the BCM and now I have the front turn signal lamps as my DRL's. Here is how they now operate on a Canadian 13 SEL. Daytime: DRL is turn signal lamp using high (bright) filament in the bulb. Activating turn signal makes them flash between bright and off Headlights are off except when activating flash to pass. Headlights come on at full brightness with shutter up (high beam) and stay on as long as lever is pulled. Releasing lever instantly turns headlights off. Nightime: Headlights come on full brightness and turn signals are dim (running or parking lights). Activating turn signal flashes between dim and bright. Best part, no charge. And even changed the oil for free too. Gotta like that.
  17. Maybe they will buy Dan's EDGE2 LED's and install those in 2014. He will be rich and can then turn his attention to providing LED angel eye headlights for his faithful customers.
  18. What happens when you flash your headlights during the day? Do the hid lamps turn on?
  19. My guess is high. But wouldn't you know it, drove around for an hour trying to see an edge with turn signal DRL. Not a single one. Any other day would've seen 5. I guess I could check at the dealership in the morning and see what happens on a limited with HID. Sucks if I have had to fight this long to get them to agree to change the programming and then want it changed back.
  20. What if you have HID and the headlamps are off during the day? It's not the shutter I am concerned about. It's the inability to signal other drivers if the turn signals are the DRL
