  1. If you are sure the strut/mount is seated properly and the bushings on the stabilizer endlink look ok, then go on and check the bushings on the control arm. A bad bushing could cause the control arm to contact the frame.
  2. If you do need to polish the wheels, that is, get rid of scratches and swirls, at this stage of the game, you could get away with a finishing polish like Meguiar's 205 and a 3" polishing disc on a dual action polisher. But if you are looking to wax the wheels to keep them clean, you can use any high-quality durable wax or coating. Collinite 845 is a perennial favorite (warm up the product and apply thinly), or maybe something like Meguiar's Ultimate wax. Choices are quite wide, if you want to, look up reviews on Amazon or Autogeek etc. and see what fits your expectations. If you want to go a step further to the pro level, you can put on a coating like Opticoat, CQuartz Finest, etc. Pull the wheels to do the work if you want them looking good & clean through and through. Though I think you can get pretty good coverage for waxing/sealing the entire wheel by hand. Polishing is another matter. Make sense, or did I confuse you?
  3. Hopefully they have the problem of the pwr liftgate addressed in the 2015, if it indeed comes with a) 2 struts, and has the foot/wave activation feature like the Escape.
  4. Original battery? could be time to replace (2-3 yrs is avg nowadays, and with the past winter, ...). Depending on how much HID usage you see, the capacitors may have pushed the current battery over the E... Check to see if all cables are tightly attached and corrosion free. Are you leaving anything plugged into the cabin power points that could cause a drain?
  5. Should be fine! It is very mild detergent, good for regular cleaning of dusty/muddy wheels (not those with stuck on road tar/brake dust etc.). More important that you use good microfiber cloths or wheel woolies for scrubbing/wiping purposes to avoid scratching the wheels.
  6. I see you've got the little one set up for meet 'n greet Good luck with the moving process!
  7. Wow, sorry to hear that! What engine/trim level do you have, Jules? Don't know if the throttle body issue affects any engine other than the 3.5L.
  8. You could try a Master Reset (lose all stored data) as shown: http://owner.ford.com/servlet/ContentServer?pagename=Owner/Page/OwnerVideoPage&year=2013&make=Ford&model=Edge
  9. Sounds like the compressor may have bit the dust due to a refrigerant/oil leak. Taking the Edge to a qualified mechanic would be the right thing to do.
  10. Welcome welcome! Sounds like you got a great deal, good for you So how did you pick the Edge over the competition?
  11. This may help you with the PTU's most frequent problem area: TSB 09-25-7 (an older version here: http://www.revbase.com/BBBMOTOR/TSb/DownloadPdf?id=143861) Maybe this also, though this is for the 2010: TSB 11-4-20 (http://revbase.com/BBBMotor/TSb/DownloadPdf?id=176591) Your calipers might be sticking. Were they serviced/greased when the pads were replaced?
  12. Wanna fix that annoying DOOR AJAR warning once and for all? 12Edge shows you how it's done: http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/14262-how-to-replace-door-latch-module-for-door-ajar-warning/
  13. There is a How To on how to do the replacement yourself. http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/14262-how-to-replace-door-latch-module-for-door-ajar-warning/
  14. Welcome to the forum, and congrats on your '14 Edge! Post some pics please
  15. Congrats on the realization of your dream, BPM Keep us apprised of mods & other adventures etc.!
  16. Any updates? Do you have FWD or AWD? Vibration coming from front/rear?
  17. I believe a recent topic mentioned that if flat-towing for long distances, starting and idling the Edge when stopped to fuelup the tow vehicle prevents a dead battery scenario.
  18. Let me see if I can get a spot at the park late night to grab the pics. They are not DINGO bright, but I notice them even in the daytime. Yeah, I'd like to think 1400, but whenever they say that, I divide by 3 (just because I'm an old Ethernet guy) to get a more reasonable number EDIT: No pitch black areas nearby; we have plentiful street lighting plus the moon is definitely present! Even so, obviously not like broad daylight back there. Looking at view behind vehicle, no lights Looking at rear of vehicle, no lights Looking at view behind vehicle, reverse on Looking at rear of vehicle, reverse on Reference for comparison: http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/10298-added-led-reverse-bulbs-today/?do=findComment&comment=91917
