I am at 19K on the original Pirellis and probably only have another 8-10K before I too am in the market. Currently leaning towards the Yokohamas just becasue winters in Colorado can be ugly and the reviews all say the snow performance is pretty decent. I don't want to go the dedicated snow wheel/tire route, but I also don't want to end up like this guy ->
I too get a "howl" on a specific blacktop road but only when I am doing 50-55mph and only on this specific 2 mile stretch. I have 19K on the tires. it is weird becasue the only other time I hear anything like it is on the interstate which is grooved concrete. I wonder if there is enough "voids" in the blacktop surface to cause the noise?
I own a 2011 Sport, 16K miles. There has always been a 2 mile per gallon difference between what the Edge reports and what I get by doing the math. I am getting 17ish in around town driving and 24ish highway, as long as I control my lead foot
got the A4 Nav card in the mail today. 2 day FedEx. Took 4 attempts to download the update to my USB, it just kept failing about the 45% point. Now to take a drive and let the install run.
I lost one, took a trip to hobby lobby and bought a small sheet of the black foam rubber for about $5. My scissor skills may be lacking, but no one can tell
Syncmyride is advising me I have a new update available, step1 was to order a new Nav SD card. Once it shows up I will probably flip a coin to decide if I am going to upgrade from 3.2 or just wait for something to break
maybe a stupid idea, but check out a local auto paint shop. The might have a samples book, it isn't going to give you what you want, but it might help you decide. I know the pictures don't do the tri coat white justice. good luck
