  1. Ok guys I would like to remove my factory side roof rails but I cant seem to find a how to on doing so. I've read on the removal of the rubber strips to prepare to put on the side rails but not the reverse. Where do I start and if any pics are out there that would be great. I don't want to break anything I'd like to either resale them or trade them for the strips. Thanks Cruiser
  2. Anyone have pics of taking the OEM side racks off? I hate mine and want to get rid of them. I have looked at them but don't know where to start. Sorry if I jack your thread.
  3. I received my letter yesterday as well, just taking it in stride and hope for the best.
  4. Thanks Cellbine your post just made up my mind to change out my nasty chrome grill for the primed grill after seeing how easy it is to do. Now just gotta buy it. Not sure if I want to leave the small accent chrome strip or not, need to think on that one some more. Thanks for sharing and taking the time to make the vid.
  5. I have a 2013 SE and I hate the blind spot mirrors, they are so small they don't do any good. My daughter has a 2013 Escape and her blind spot mirrors seem almost twice the size of mine and have been wondering if I could swap the mirrors off a Escape. Does anybody know if that is possible.
  6. Hell I'm kinda of interested in doing this. I have the side rails and will never put anything on top but am worried in roof leaks after the swap. How do the racks come off does anyone have pics in the removal of these and what one is left with after the new strips are installed?
  7. Looks good! How did you get that little piece off. I've looked at doing something with mine, was thinking chrome but after your post (I too rest my hand on the shifter) I may pass on the chrome.
  8. Thanks all for your input, like I said I have never had a FWD so I just never experienced anything like it. Thanks again Cruiser
  9. Ok thanks Dingo for the fast response. I'll just have to be a little more prepared next time.
  10. Ok guys I have never had or driven a FWD car until I bought my Edge in mid Jan. My question is, Is it common for the car to try and change lanes when you hammer the gas. I have only done this twice and both times it has pulled extremely hard to the right and it was very surprising and almost scary, mainly because I wasn't expecting it to do that. Is this common with FWD or should I have the dealer look at the car. My Edge is a 2013 SE w/3.5 Thanks Cruiser
  11. Congrats and welcome to the forum

  13. http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/11909-my-first-mod-daytime-brightlites/ I believe I posted the link to the post I did when I installed my lights, They are a little rich but I believe worth it. Everything I needed was in the kit along with a very good set of instructions. Everything was very straight forward and simple, it followed the KISS moto (Keep It Simple Stupid) Hope this helps
  14. Welcome to the forum and nice buy
