I have recently installed Remote Start to my Edge SE-2013, installation is not an issue at all, the main thing is to get the Remote Start activated by dealer through IDS. you can easily get Bi-directional remote start kit from Ford accessories. range is 1000ft

It saves the front bumper from dirt and mud caused by front tires. i will take pictures and post..soon

Got Official reply from Ford this morning as below: UnQuote This accessory is designed to operate at 315MHz door lock frequency. This vehicle uses 433MHz door lock frequency. This accessory is not available for 433MHz door lock frequency. Quote I donot understand why FORD has mentioned on their website that this accessory is compatible with Ford edge upto 2014 models.

Still facing the range issue... Note that vehicle is tint with 3M (all glasses). will this be a prob?? or may be some other issue

Today i have replaced Plug n Play 100 series with Bi-directional BT4Z-19G364-A remote start system, it is causing the below prob: 1) start through new keyfob-----ok 2) stop through new keyfob-----ok After that i m trying to start the vehicle second time through new keyfob it wont start until i unlock the vehicle and put the keys nove to run position or start the vehicle(edge 13) Any clue??

I want to remove the exterior door handles, in order to give them to body shop for paint match with the vehicle colour. Kindly inform the procedure & tools required. Vehicle is edge-2013

Front Orange Turn Signal will be used as DRL (Need to be activated through Ford IDS), once vehicle is start and in R, D, N or S mode it will becomes ON.

Problem solved automatically. next morning when start the vehicle date has been set to the current. however there is another problem, ANDROID phone is not supported to display the received text msg, however Iphone does.

Gary, i didnt program any new keys for remote start, just installed the kit and use the old keys (IKT) come with the vehicle at the time of purchase. These keys already have the remote start button. I have checked IDS there is no option to program the wireless keypad or any keypad.

Update on friends edge, everything is fine except date is set to be 1st jan 2010 and unable to change it..

Hey guys need your expert opinion. I have 3M clear Bra on my edge-13. once travelling on highway the vehicle has been passed through heavy "Sand Storm" and after that i observed that color at the front of the vehicle has become bit DULL as compared to the other part of the vehicle. Please suggest some treatment or waxing or something to solve this issue. Thx
