  1. And I had already updated to 3.0, v18025 from an earlier post and when I downloaded the "official" 3.0 from Ford Owner site, went to update and system told me I already had the most current version. So, nothing changed from earlier? Interesting.
  2. It's funny I ran across this post as I just experienced this same issue yesterday. I noticed the rubber trim had become dislodged and upon closer examination, it was caked with crud. Just another area to pay attention to when cleaning. My question, how do you keep the rubber trim on? It appears to have been put on with some type of adhesive. Thanks.
  3. Trip to dealership - 40 minutes Update software to fix issue - 45 minutes Time spent looking at 2018 Explorers - 60 minutes Trip home - 40 minutes Not a bad morning.
  4. So apparently, build 18025 fixes a bug fix over ios 11.2.5 with applink connectivity issues. That is exactly the issue I am having. That said, how does one (if possible) re-install version 2.3? I have 3.0, build 17026 and it works okay with the exception of the above issue.
  5. Curious how long the update took? I need to contact my dealership. Thanks.
  6. What do you do if the Climate Control and Seats options are grayed out and you can't adjust them? I thought I read somewhere in here that the dealer could make some adjustments? Thanks.
  7. Good morning Edge family. Here is my conundrum for the day. Seeing how I'm on my 4th Edge and consider myself extremely blessed to NOT have any issues with any (until now), this audio issue (Sync 3?) is messing with my mind. I stay on SiriusXM. I NEVER have used AM or FM (Sync 3 w/Nav). For the past 3 days, at various times, when I start my Edge, the audio is on FM 92.9. I am beyond perplexed with this. Not an major issue, but when you have OCD it is bothersome. Anyone have any ideas or similar issues? Thanks for any advice.
  8. Call me dense, but where are these seat filters located? I have a 16 Titanium with the a/c seats. Was not aware of a filter. I have looked but cannot find. Thanks.
  9. So, if one updated to v3.0 that was out and about, should one disregard 2.3? Or can 2.3 be installed over 3.0? UPDATE: Went to try the 2.3 update and SYNC came back with a statement, "Your system already has the latest version. Remove USB and Sync 3 with restart". Guess I'm good to go until the next update.
  10. How are we being misled? Inquiring minds want to know.
  11. So, has anyone been able to download the Ford Map Updater from the link candurin listed above?
  12. So, as my mind usually does at 3 AM, I start thinking about things and the one topic (above) came to my mind. Currently, the new iPhone 8's have a charging connector to charge and connect via USB port in your car. As I understand it, in order to use CarPlay, it must be connected. When the new iPhone X ( and future models I'm sure) come out, there will be no charging port. The charging is done via a "hot plate". Any thoughts on how CarPlay will work? That's my morning thoughts for the day.
  13. I have a 16 Titanium; have never gotten an update via wifi; downloaded version 3.0 to usb drive; update was successful; already had the new usb port when i updated to v2.2. Maybe I'm old and blind, but I see no mind blowing differences and in my opinion, CarPlay still sucks.
  14. UPDATE: So, I updated SYNC 3 to v 2.2 a month or so ago. Ordered the hub from Ford Partscheap on Saturday, it arrived today, pop out the old, reconnect and pop in the new. Badda bing. Apple Carplay operational. We'll test it out tomorrow on our trip to Chicago. It's just too bad Ford can't (or won't) replace the hub free of charge.
  15. Did that. thank you. UPDATE: Well, using the same flash drive, no changes, went out again and tried it and the update took. Not sure why but I guess the stars were all aligned correctly this evening. Oh well, on to the next crisis. Thanks everyone for their assistance. Appreciate this forum.
