  1. This is what I'm going to do. This issue developed a couple weeks ago in our 2013 Edge. Our build date is 2 months past the cut off. The dealer said they would not cover it, so I called Ford. They also said they would not cover it. The 'man' I spoke with was very short with me and wouldn't even let me complete a sentence before he cut me off and insisted that it wasn't covered. Period... I was VERY ANGRY with Ford. This is a HUGE Safety issue for them and they have they're collective heads in the sand regarding this. That being said I had it replaced and I have the old part to compare to the recalled ones. I'll try to keep you up to date.
  2. Good Morning and Happy New Year, This exact situation happened to us just last week. The drivers side was blowing cold, while the passenger side was toasty. After reading through all the posts regarding the air blend issues, I decided to try the unplug and plug back method. It didn't work for me. So I decided to order 1 through Amazon (Dorman 604239 Air Door Actuator). While the replacement was pretty straight forward, my big fat hands had some difficulty getting the the screws (3) out and the new ones in. That being said it works like a charm and we have control of the temperature on both sides again.
  3. Also may or may not add that you may be able to change adding a destination while in motion. It might also be able to pair a cellphone also while in motion.

  6. Are you sure the bulbs 9006? Or are they 9012?

  8. I put a tune on our 2013, and it really had a difference. The throttle response is much better and the over all driving experience is better. I would pursue that direction if I were you. There are several owners with tunes out there.

  11. We have a 2013 limited and we have a situation that shows up every once in a while. It's that the dash display blanks out for a few seconds and then comes back on without any ill effects. Has this happened to anyone else?
  12. Ours gets blurry sometimes, I just take a soft towel and clean the lens. Works for me.

  14. After having the LED's in for a few weeks, I decided to return to HID's. The projected light from the LED's weren't what I had expected. I really felted that they were a hazard in many ways. I will say that they were bright, just not enough. The distance they projected down the road just doesn't compare to HID's So in my opinion, for now stay with HID's until the technology can catch up.

  16. I drove the vehicle over the weekend and was still not totally impressed. I'm going to reorient them to 6 & 12 and see if that helps in anyway.
  17. I installed some of these the other day. mallard I would like to know your thoughts over the past few months. I for one, am not impressed yet. I have adjusted them up some and will take it out tonight to gauge my efforts. I'll let you know.
  18. Well, let me update everyone with this issue we had been experiencing. We took our 2013 Edge to the dealership last weekend and they replaced the door latch assembly and we haven't had the issue return. The cost was $100.00. Now I know 100 bucks isn't much to some people, but it is annoying that a part should fail so quickly. That being said, we're glad the problem has been fixed. Our fingers are crossed that it doesn't happen to one of the other sensors.
  19. Superb write up. Tremendous help.. I also bought 1 on-line. The directions were perfect for a 2013 Ltd. I started the car and it works great, with the lines and all.
  20. Well I've reading about since I first got on this forum. I've got to tell you that it has happened to us as well. I've gone through all the suggestions to no avail. I have an appointment for later this week at our local dealer and I'll let you know how it turns out. I would like to tell you that while this sensor is active the automatic door locks DO NOT lock. This could be a safety hazard that hopefully Ford will stand behind. I would like a PM from a Ford Service person if they are still on.
