  1. Where did you get the new emblem?
  2. That's great to hear! Welcome home, and thanks for all you do for all of us.
  3. I ordered mine a few weeks ago as well, so I know how you feel. Second car in 6 months I've ordered from Ford. Waiting is the worst!
  4. You guys have been helpful, thanks! :banana piano:
  5. I have a question. There seems to be some confusion with rebates. Most dealers have told me that with x-plan, you can only take the low financing OR the cash rebates, but not both. Is this true in all cases? If not, what rebates would qualify during an x-plan purchase?
  6. Since you only get the rebates and incentives that are available at time of delivery, what's the best time to order to take a delivery near the end of December? The end of the year is typically the best time for rebates and such. Obviously factors like Thanksgiving and Christmas play a part, but what do you think? Early November? Late September?
  7. The color was the vapor silver, so I didn't take any photos since we've seen one on this site in detail already. Had the all black leather interior. I didn't think I'd like the silver until I got up close to it. Now I think I have to consider silver as well. As far as I remember, when pressing the tailgate button in the handle, the door does assist you, but don't quote me about closing it because I'm not exactly sure. I think the dealer actually did it, not me. The liftgate thing is cool, but in my opinion, the hardware used to raise and lower it that's inside the "trunk" area is not at all attractive. It sticks out and looks bulky. To each their own, though.
  8. You're welcome. Where's RayoVac and the Vapor Silver!! Turn on your lights, Ray! Tell us what's goin on inside the cockpit! I suppose I was extremely impatient, as it was only a test drive. I have thousands of songs on my iPod. Perhaps if I get one for a longer period I'll play with it more.
  9. I had the chance to test drive a 2008 Limited yesterday, and thought I'd share a few notes. The 20" wheels provide a stiffer ride - not too stiff, not too loose. It was very comfortable. She also corners better With the 20" wheels, the car sits a tad lower. It was parked next to an '07 and the '07 was higher. The center stack console is much improved. The Limited does away with the horizontal lines. The top of the center stack is indeed black and I hardly noticed any glare. Sync is very cool. It found my phone and I made a call very easily. Only bummer about Sync: the display is the same, not-very-exciting green digital display. I was hoping the display would change to the two-line display that's in the Lincoln models. I remember seeing a demo somewhere. Sync had issues with my iPod - it kept "indexing" and eventually did not take my voice commands. I'll probably have to spend more time with it. Power liftgate is neat, although not necessary for me. It even beeps before it closes to warn you. I drove it during the day, so I didn't get to see what color the instrument panel was. Anyone? I think waiting for the 2008 was a wise decision for me. I will likely purchase a Limited FWD in Creme Brulee. Just waiting until there are some good incentives and good finance rates. I recommend you try a 2008 if you were waiting for Sync and the Limited package. Now, if I could only find $30,000 lyin' around here somewhere...
  10. We actually just got an 08 limited at our local dealer and I peeked inside - the tray and the surrounding plastic match the charcoal dash. That interior is pretty damn sexy It also had the 20" wheels - and the "sport tuned suspension" which explains the stiffer ride.
  11. Perhaps it's just the photo, but it appears that the plastic surrounding the coin/extra stuff collector at the top of the center stack has been changed from silver-ish to black. I could be seeing things tho?
  12. Are there any kits out there that merely replace the chrome in the fog lamps? I've searched for accessories, but it's like trying to find a needle in a haystack. For some reason, the chrome bothers me and sticks out like a sore thumb in the black.
  13. Actually, one of the coolest things about SYNC is that because it's a computer, it can be constantly upgraded. If you caught it in the video, he said that when they change or morph the software, even if you bought the 2008 (which would be an "old" model in a few years), it can still be upgraded in the future. I'm sold. Can't wait to get one!
