I believe your model doesn't have a PTU drain, so they couldn't have drained it - they would have "extracted" the oil, if they did anything with it. If sludge was found they may attempt to flush it with ATF, but it shouldn't run more than a few miles before filling with the correct oil.

Your owners manual should show that, and if you don't have one do a Google search for a PDF version. It wouldn't take long to damage the PTU with the wrong fluid. Of course they'll respond that its a typo, in which case I'd demand that they prove it to me by extracting the fluid for me to inspect, and then of course show me the fluid going back in. Also, it needs to be recorded on Ford's records linked to your VIN.

The originals have text "Left" and "Right" and Ford lists two part numbers - I couldn't see any physical difference. Just to confirm, that link has them at $48 for the pair? If there's clear evidence that the seller sent the wrong goods, then you can open a dispute with eBay and whoever you used for payment, but if it wasn't the sellers error then you'll need to eat the cost or try work something out with the seller to send the correct goods and negotiate the costs.

My 2017 Sport's hood struts have lost their vigor (need Viagra) and I have to open the hood all the way by hand, and it will at least stay there, but I do recall that I could lift the hood the first foot or two and it would take off on its own to full open. What's the best replacement, OEM or are there better brands available?
