  1. What's your theory on the cause? No harm listing the product used and how it was used without suggesting it was the cause - that would have some benefit to those that may be considering this type of cleaning, and whether they really need to do such cleaning. Edit: I notice you have "CRC" in the thread tags.
  2. @ssc sorry to hear about your misfortune. It sounds like you believe its the intake cleaning that caused the failure - could you tell us what product you used and the procedure, and what about it you think caused the problem. I don't recall anyone else posting an experience like this. I've got 70K miles on my 2017 ecoboost and haven't seen the need to do any such intake cleaning.
  3. No such problems on my 2017 Sport. You've got a few miles/km's left on the warranty, so take it in. Please consider adding your location and vehicle Model/Year to your profile signature - https://www.fordedgeforum.com/settings/signature/
  4. Have you done the wiring changes mentioned below? https://sync3programming.com/Sync-3-APIM-Programming-for-FORScan-via-Email-p112322808
  5. Dan told you what others have been advising here.
  6. My understanding is that the APIM needs specific programming in addition to a few Forscan parameters.
  7. When I upgraded my wife's 2015 Mustang to the 8" screen with Sync 3, the person that I bought the kit from, re-programed the APIM to work in our M/Y Ford, in addition to specific changes made using Forscan. . You could contact him on the Mustang forum - HextallS550 https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/threads/sync-3-swap-its-all-in-here.82973/
  8. I would think with a good check valve the rail pressure would take longer to decay.
  9. I'm not too familiar with this model, and not sure where the check valve is located. A pressure gauge on the fuel rail would confirm the theory that its the check valve. RockAuto prices aren't too bad. https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/ford,2010,edge,3.5l+v6,1444714,fuel+&+air,fuel+pump+&+housing+assembly,10147 https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/ford,2010,edge,3.5l+v6,1444714,fuel+&+air,fuel+pump,6256
  10. I think their promise is a little ambiguous and can understand them providing "calibrations" to improve or alter the system as it was when they supplied the tune, but if your made a significant mechanical modification that would actually require a new or "modified tune", not a simple calibration. Buying the additional mechanical parts from them they may offer the tune modifications to match at no charge - it would be reasonable for them to assume that they provided that support to the original purchaser of the FMIC. https://unleashedtuning.com/unleashed-custom-tuning-for-edge-st-27l/
  11. This is the thread, the only thread, for your topic.
  12. Could you post a link to what you bought and the statement regarding the lifetime free updates and modifications. https://unleashedtuning.com/unleashed-custom-tuning-for-edge-st-27l/ What model/year do you have? - it would be good if you could add location and vehicle model/year to your profile signature - https://www.fordedgeforum.com/settings/signature/
  13. The less smart dealerships don't know because its not listed as a service activity, because its "lubed for life". If yours's doesn't have the drain plug, do a forum search and participate in one of the many existing threads on the PTU topic, and consider adding the drain. Please add location and your Model/Year to your profile signature - https://www.fordedgeforum.com/settings/signature/
  14. What engine? Consider adding your location and Model/Year to your profile signature - https://www.fordedgeforum.com/settings/signature/
  15. I would get the codes read at Autozone and find an independent service shop that has a good reputation and reviews. Open the oil filler cap and look for any sign of sludge.
  16. What's the mileage? What's the service history, oil change interval, what oil and what oil filter?
  17. Its been a year and I still cant view the Classified section. @Edge Guide @robertlane
  18. Feel free to express your personal opinions, without getting obnoxious and personal.
  19. My engine is the same as the ST and I also do my oil changes at 5K miles using full synthetic. Can't recall what the owners manual says.
  20. I first looked at that site and 4DTech who's price was also $2,300 - I ended up paying $970 less than that, and believe I have a better product.
  21. If you're in Indiana you won't need a passport to travel the London I was referring to - London KY, not London Canada.
  22. I sent you a PM with the contact details of the person that supplied the kit for our Mustang - he confirmed that he can supply what's need for the 2012 Edge. https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/threads/sync-3-swap-its-all-in-here.82973/page-142#post-3281455 https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/threads/sync-3-swap-its-all-in-here.82973/page-141#post-3276678
  23. I did that with my wife's 2015 Mustang and expect it can be done with the Edge. When I get home I'll post the contact details of the person I bought the kit from.
