  1. Interesting, my 2017 Edge Sport came with the "older" fobs.
  2. Oh hi, RE: (like a GLOVEBOX LIGHT, <R U LISTENING, FORD?>) My 2017 Edge Sport has a glove box light, and center console light, and a light in the "pass through hole" of the console:-) I almost got the 2017 MKX, tempted by the 2 years maintenance, though I tend to do all my own anyway. I bought off the lot, and the Edge Sport was on the lot...though I would really like the MKX sound system!
  3. Hh ha, I negotiated for the cargo cover when I bought...but your right, I should picked something else. I did get a canvasback rear cargo area protector. I had one my Escape and it worked well with dogs and all. This one has a flap to act as a bumper protector....
  4. Hi, I posted about the hitch (with pictures) here: http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/22366-after-market-hitch-with-hands-free-tailgate/ Actually, I didn't take a picture of it when it was all done. But on the etrailer website (referenced in to post I made) there is a pic of a 2017 Red Edge Sport...same as mine! I also added some breathable seat covers and nice floormats/guards. I need to take pics and post them as well. Oh yeah I added a dashcam too. I've spent more time dicking around with this beast than driving it!
  5. Is there already a thread for this subject? I have a noise that requires silencing. The insert around my shifter makes a vibrating noise. I can push on it and it stops. I want to remove the panel and some panel tape to stop the vibration. Has anyone taken out this panel? Okay actually found a youtube video:
  6. Oh hi, I bought this: https://www.etrailer.com/Trailer-Hitch/Ford/Edge/2017/75234.html?vehicleid=201742261 for my 2017 Edge Sport. Install went fine, However: There is a heat shield on the rear bumper that is removed and not re-installed. I actually removed the heat shield material from the shell and "custom" installed it. That interfered with the foot sensors. So I cut little pieces of the heat shield material off that were near the sensors. That works . Also the original heat shield seemed to stabilize the rear lower bumper panel. What I mean is, the lower panel seems like it would vibrate in the wind with the heat shield removed. I added some "straps" to stabilize the lower bumper panel. Also adding the stiff heat shield material also helped stiffen the lower panel. Also the washers for the inner mounting holes had to be ground down on one edge to nicely fit. Attached are some pictures. Note with the heat shield installed it doesn't have the cut-out yet, I discovered the problem after I took the pictures.
  7. I posted the Edge. I will post more pics of the aftermarket stuff I add ...custom fit floor mats, custom fit seat covers, etc.

  10. On the ecosboostperformanceforum they ask the question has anyone been denied warranty for because of mods. Seem pretty rare assuming good vehicle upkeep and records. I put a hitch on the Edge Sport....so one could imagine I've modded and if I were to tow and the drivetrain had a failure..... I'm just using the hitch for a bike carrier :-) Now I am looking at LMS vs Unleashed
  11. Thanks guys, I thought also read that someone has used LMS tunes on 91 Octane. So in summary, you select a tune, say 91 Performance, and drive around for a bit. Then you interact with LMS for adjustments.
  12. Hi All, Maybe I need a Tuning for dummies. I sent this to LMS: ---cut--- Hello, I have a 2017 Ford Edge Sport AWD 21” rims. Currently at 700 miles. I am very much interested in your MyCalibrator offering. From your website, I can not determine what “tunes” are available for the Edge Sport. I live in CA, and typically the best octane value is 91 and thats what I use. My questions: For Octane 91 are there different tunes? I have heard terms such Tow, Performance, Aggressive tunes. Are each of these tunes available for a given Octane? (in California that would be 87,89,91) Does a specific tune work differently in Drive mode vs. Sport mode? For example shifting firmness? Can I specify shifting firmness? or when to shift? As an aside, I have a BMW 335i, (stock) which makes all torque at 1250 rpm and maintains it through the rpm range. That is is quite a nice feeling, would the tow tune be the closest to that for the Edge? ---end cut--- And I got this response: "We have tunes available for those octane levels no problem. Typically our tunes are based on octane level performance and towing. Our tunes would adjust through out all driving modes." This really didn't help....what am I missing?
  13. RE:The shifting strategy that is going to be least harmful to the transmission and drivetrain is keeping the stock tune. I have been reading that the above might not be completely true. Softer shifts may be more pleasing to the average consumer, but the very nature of a soft shift means more slippage and heat build up. Any insight on this? Also still would like to hear about what are the LMS tuning options. The website does not offer up much. For example, I was thinking that I would want a tune for 91 octane where in Drive mode I got the power increase and in Sport mode also got ideal shifting. Is my thinking correct?
  14. Old thread, but for those using a fuse tap at the internal fuse panel, I used the lower nut/stud that is holding the fuse panel as a ground. For my Dashcam I used the fuse at the top (37?) since it is very hard to get the fuse tapping connector yo fit anywhere else.
  15. Oh hi, My 2nd fill using 91 I got 21.9 mpg, most of that was highway and easy driving. I will monitor and report back after I get some more fill ups
  16. Hi, New here...2nd post actually. I have 2017 Edge Sport (600 miles). Trying to understand this whole tuning thing. I also went to the LMS website, but I can't find a list of available tunes. Am I correct that there are performance and aggressive tunes for the various octanes? Are there different tunes for Drive mode vs Sport Mode. For example if I had the 91 performance tune is the behavior different in Drive vs Sport? Also I don't fully understand shifting and shifting hardness. I suppose my high level question is what type of shifting is least harmful to the transmission? Thanks!
  17. Oh hi, I had to gift my 2011 Escape Hybrid to my nephew. Wanted something a little larger anyway. I had no idea about the Edge, never mind the Sport model. Wow, who knew? I read a lot of posts here to learn up on the Edge. I considered, Explorer Sport, BMW X3 and X5 with the 3.0L Turbos. I liked my Escape, hated the Sync system. So Sync 3 is nice, but don't like that Carplay takes over the system navigation. I live in the Santa Cruz mountains in CA, fun place to drive the Sport. I think I will do the LMS tuning, do have some questions about that. I'll ask over in the 2.7 section. Still have 99 Ranger at 193000 miles and 2001 F250SD CC 4x4 (V10) at 60,000 miles I guess I should make a profile! Cheers!
