Therefore maintaining a consistent non restricted maximum air flow for the size of the IC outlet pipe. Here's a Pic of the prototype:

FYI, we're anticipating the IC outlet pipe 2 come available within the next 2-4 Wks and and CPe IC results sometime in April. Dammit! just realized I neglected to inform you to pull all lines and attaching hardware before shipping...

Hey there Tom!!! Now that I know it's U...brain cramp... ...I'd do it for bragging rights... Special K just brought me up to speed and if it weren't 4 a non adjustable schedule conflict I'd love 2. Highly recommend not installing those Turbos until U do the following N this order: Upgraded Intercooler Modified outlet (cold) pipe Replace BOV with Turbosmart BOV New base line tune with logs 2 refine

The following are the test fitment Pics of the 2017-2018 Ford Fusion Sport IC test fitted to the 2015-2018 Ford Edge Sport. Notes: - The outlet (cold) side is short of identical - The inlet (hot) side presents 2 challenges, the IC hanger tab (remove) and the radiator mounting tab (remove & secure at another point). - The inlet (hot) side clearance can also be mitigated by shimming the IC forward some, which may eleviate the need to remove and/or secure at another point. - To simplify the R&D process we stuffed the intake (hot) boost tube over top of the IC mounting bracket, yes it gives a strange appearance and they are deceiving... We won't know for sure until CPe starts...

To save everyone the back & forth between posts to see the differences between the 2015-2018 Ford Edge Sport and the 2017-2018 Ford Fusion Sport Intercoolers I decided to post the comparative Pics here... The outlet (cold) side isn't a problem, their short of identical. The inlet (hot) side presents a couple challenges but nothing that can't be over come. Per the Pic...the grill will be symmetrical with the addition of the top & bottom two half honeycombs cut out. Note: its not recommended to cut out the top 2 rows and left & right 2.5 columns of honey combs because they cover the unbsightly stuff and do not enhance cooling. So the answer to your question Makula is yes...

As we're pacing back & forth waiting on CPe to call us in once their first batch of Fusion Sport ICs are mass produced so we can proceed with Edge Sport fitment we had to do something to silence those voices of apprehension... Therefore, we decided to take Pics & measurements in the same manner that we did in this topic string for the 2016 Edge Sport back on 10-12 Dec 2017 (page 5 of this string)......but.....wait for it......of the stock IC for the 2017 Fusion Sport... :happy feet: Ref attached Pics of the stock IC. If the stock measurements are close between the stock Edge (2016) & Fusion (2017) then the chances are very good that this should be a smooth fitment.....now compare the Pics & measurements of the stock IC for the 2016 Edge Sport posted 10-12 Dec 2017 and you tell us what you see http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/21117-intercooler-sport/page-5 ..... At this point, in conjunction with CPe, we're going to convert the Edge Sport intake charge pipes from the 2- n-1 to the dual charge pipe system that the Fusion Sport uses. Note 25% to 30% of the grill is blocked off, not good if your going for performance enhancements. Now notice the Pic on the left of the single grill, the 25% to 30% blocked off portion has been machined out (aka CNCd) with precision to maintain the stock grill appearance while increasing cooling efficiency. In discussions with other CNC capable machine shops I've been quoted estimates to have this done anywhere from $1500-$2500 for the first one then $500-$1000 per copy. Spencer Adams, the machinists who milled the grill in the Pic on the left, has offered to produce these at a much bigger savings. However, he can significantly lower the cost even more if we provide him with an order of at least 2-5. He's doing this as a fellow car enthusiasts. Pricing is as follows: 1 = $190 2-5 = $115 ea 6-10 = $100 ea Please respond on this string ASAP with your interest and I'll work with Spencer to facilitate ease of transaction. He's motivated to support us and wants to get started ASAP!
