Intercooler Grill & AGS (2016 Sport)
snmjim replied to snmjim's topic in Accessories & Modifications
Disregard, Ref next Post... -
AWD...lol On a serious note...we haven't encountered that issue with the 2016 Sport AWD yet.
-
Once SpecialK & I R done developing the IC Outlet pipe, IC & Turbos well definitely provide all the required purchase Info...;-)
-
Note: This is not a package deal from one source but a coordinated effort between SpecialK & myself working with a private fabricator & CPe. Therefore once we're done with testing we'll provide findings along with the required purchasing Info. Est 1 +/- months for IC outlet pipe & 1-3 months for IC.

2016 Edge Sport (G2) Front & Rear Sway Bars
snmjim replied to snmjim's topic in Brakes, Chassis & Suspension
SOS...Need a 2015-2018 Edge Sport or 2016 MKX owner within reasonable driving distance of the Newland, NC 28657 area for stabilizer bar fitment!!! -
We need to take an interest poll for the fabricator of the outlet/cold side pipe only. This isn't a commitment to by but merely a poll to see how many would consider buying one?

2016 Ford Edge Sport AWD Powertrain Limitations
snmjim replied to snmjim's topic in All Wheel Drive (AWD)
Thnx to Xtra!... :hat_tip: We're starting to get some applicable/useful Info, He's ID the two 2016 Edge Sport AWD PTO options, now we need to ID the HP & Torque limitations. For those who are interested in helping out but weren't engaged from the initial post on this topic...' We need Info (component p/n, HP & torque limitations, cross make & model applications) for the following drive train components: - Transmission - PTO - Drive & half shafts - Rear Diff Note: If we can't find specific Spec Info we can usually get some idea of its limitations by also identifying other makes & models that share these components i.e. if the rear Diff is shared by the 2016 Lincoln MKX and it has a 5k towing capacity then we know we have potential strength/room to add HP & torque since the 2016 Edge Sport AWD has a considerably lower tow rating... Thnx again for all those who have assisted & supported us...JC Edge Sport Development Team...kinda has a ring to it... -
Try now...;-)

Thnx for the AWESOME Info & fast turn around guys (WWWPerfa_ZNOW & Xtra), that definitely helps to keep the ball rolling... Now the last research hold up, aside from fabrication & modification. http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/23870-2016-ford-edge-sport-awd-powertrain-limitations/ In case the link breaks...it's the research request I posed under the topic: "2016 Ford Edge Sport AWD Powertrain Limitations" Hopefully you'll knock this one out of the park as well... :clapping:
-
Calling all research strong members to assist us with confirming the following: - Pistons are gas ported (Ford p/n FT4Z6108A) - Rings are Dykes style (Ford p/n FT4Z6148A) The sooner a response the better for all...

Disappointed in H&R Springs G2 Edge Sport
snmjim replied to Mikula's topic in Brakes, Chassis & Suspension
This being the case then we, the FEF community, should ID the best replacement shocks for those with H&R springs... -
Correction... No, we have not tested the CPe IC on the Edge yet due 2 Fusion tests R still N process. Hopefully Edge testing will start some time N March. BTW, we will peruse hi flow down pipes soon after we develop the modified plug & play Turbos which will follow the CPe Edge IC fitment & testing. "Patience, MY ASS I'm gonna kill something!"

2016 Ford Edge Sport AWD Powertrain Limitations
snmjim replied to snmjim's topic in All Wheel Drive (AWD)
Turns out that I don't have any Pics of the Transfer case/PTU, I'll take some the next time we're down under. The attached Doc is all that I could find in the 2015 FSM. Notes: - From what I can make of your Pics, my RMM Pics, FSM & memory of long hours down under...I see no similarities. - This Fri I'm going to my Ford parts guy to get some Spec sheets on the powertrain components so I can add them to my files & post them... Transfer Case Removal.pdf -
Seeing that we will soon be approaching the 500 whp spectrum we need Ford Techs & your assistance to verify our findings for the maximum horse power & torque limitations for the subject vehicle for the following components: Automatic transmission PTO/AWD system Drive & half shafts Rear differential Thank you all for any information that can be provided. Got a real treat for those who are waiting on the CPe IC. They gave me the go ahead to post these Pics of their IC fitted to the 2017 Fusion Sport...guess who's next...
-
In an effort to get this topic back on track... While waiting on CPe to call us in sometime this month (Feb) we decided to attack the IC piping issue. The piping on the IC intake side we deemed as being adequate however, the outlet side is whole nother can of worms, check out the Pics, see any problem... Therefore, thanks to my awesome Ford parts guy... he was nice enough to provide a sample outlet pipe for us to ship to the piping modification fabricator in FL... :happy feet: :happy feet: :happy feet:
