I wanted to add that Green Filter part #7287 fits 2013-2016. I prefer them to K&N and the results on my 2016 Sport were very nice for a drop in part.

Would love to add this but this is for the 2.7tt ecoboost gen2 primarily,  and they were not around in 2013.  What really confuses me is that 2013-2016 crosses a generation and they have different filter boxes.  Do you mind double checking and reporting back?

My concern with the summer tires would be how well they handle rain and cold road surfaces.  Plus, parts of AZ do get snow which is no Bueno for summer tires.

they are good in the rain, 285's and havent hydroplained yet.  Lowest we had them was 30 degrees, they werent as tacky but still did the job.

These would be silly to have for snow, ice skates.....

Thanks, onyxbfly! Was actually just thinking about doing a full fluid flush.  Never did a PTU...have also read about adding a cooler kit to the PTU? I wish I'd have seen this issue before. It sounds like a design flaw.

I sadly do not know about gen 1, but we push north of 500 awhp and we just change ours ever 25K.  havent had an issue yet *knocks on wood*

When the Mulholland Snake was open I would go there a lot . By a lot I am talking 3 sets of tires in 24,000 miles!! It is a 2 mile hill climb and it is where I test the car because I know it so well. Most of the variables are out of the equation and the difference in time is mostly due to the parts change.  By adding this Strut Tower Brace, I was 4 seconds quicker to the the top than with just H&R springs. Faster times can be made by straightening out the road but I always stay in my lane and never cross the line. 4 seconds is a lot I have been trying to better my best time and finding just one more second has been allusive.

There is less effort when turning at speed and better control overall. Before the brace the front end would wonder about some under load in the corner as the front end flexed. I would have to make small steering adjustments constantly. The brace gives me more confidence and a more precision line around corners. The car sets now and holds the line making it easier to drive. Easier to drive in the twists and when on the highway when traveling at 60.70,80 MPH sudden lane changes ( like to avoid something ) it provides a measure of safety and control.  It works hand in hand with the H&R springs and I would recommend a Strut Tower Brace to anyone looking for better cornering and control. If you already have the H&R springs then this is the way to go it is an easy install.
** If you do not push the car it makes no difference at all and this is what I am thinking happened here with HockyShot39.   If you  ever do push it  you will be happy you added this performance part.

That last part 4 fold, if you do not push the car you will not feel a difference, and pushing is not qualified as doing 5 over the posted recommended speed of an exit turn,  more around the range of 60~80mph.  The chassis really struggles to control the weight, this bar stiffens it up ever so much to make it more predictable and sure footed.

I recently re-did the stereo/sync arrangement in my 13 SE and while inside the console saw a small round device of some kind that faces forward into the small storage cubby hole that is under the front of the console. I tried looking up the "part" numbers that are on the device and on a tag that is fastened to the wire leading to the device, with no luck. Is this a small accent light that is burned out perhaps?? Ok sleuths, what do you say??  ?

Just wanted to say hello. New to the forum and new to owning an Edge. Just purchased a 2014 Edge Sport AWD with 22k miles. Excited to learn more.

Previous owner did not disclose tire leak (plug) so got to purchase new tires already. Also purchased wheels. Will post a pic when installed.

I finally got a dragy and was running the mid-level livernois tune (the 91, but using 93 gas).  It was a crisp cold night with thick air so I figured it would be a good run.  I got 5.18, I'll call it 5.2.   I had previously applied the 93 tune, and had been using about a half-can of Torco per tank, which I believe at that ratio will boost to about 94--I may be too nervous about knocking but I really like to know the octane is at least a point ahead of what the tune calls for in case the filling station had a mixup or quality-control issue and the 93 wasn't really 93.

Anyway, I didn't have the dragy then and I was on a 500 mile trip (also took extra Torco because 91 is the best some of these out-of-the way places have).  But I could feel it is punchier than the 91 in all aspects--especially highway-speed passing! Got in a tight spot on I-80 through Iowa with a parade of cars in the left lane led by a "do gooder" in a a 70mph zone.  Finally got my interval on the right side and paddled down to 4 and ROCKETED out and broke free, it felt amazing--sooo much more high-speed pull than stock.  And the confident handling and dead-straight tracking of the suspension made 120 feel like 80, and kept my wife from chastising me--that's a plus right there!

Once things die down on my other projects I'll put the 93 back in and post dragy results on the 93 tune, this is the 91 with cool thick air.

Very nice, cant wait till livernois starts to actually push the ST platform

I bought this brand new and have only driven it on the interstate. The plastic cover for the fuel lines was dragging when I pulled into town. Then the bottom trim on my door fell off some where between here and the grocery store. It has hard rubber Hankook tires and gets 21 to 24 mpg. It isn't even due for its first oil change.

and let me iterate, our edge is being pushed to the max (500 whp) and sees daily use and yearly snow.  never had an issue.....after 3 years of hard snow use, we had one small corner of the a piece of the under cladding come off.

I have edge 2013 SL and thw advance trac system service warning light had appeared with ABS light when i start the engine. This had been happened couple of times and when i face such issue, i turn off the engine then start it again so the warning go off.

Please advise what does that mean and the proper action to be taken? Another question is anybody has an idea about the estimated cost of reprogramming the Advance Track system after repair?

    Thank you,

We are having the same issue, super intermittent though.  from me digging around it COULD be a wheel speed sensor.... but i have no concrete solution yet.

I have used VP,  Torco and  Race Gas products. The only one I have not tried is the Race Gas Ultra. Where I live 91 is the best you can get. Sometimes I like to run the 93 tune but to do that I have to buy 100 octane Race fuel at $9.40 per gal and blend it with 91, or use one of these additives. I decided to try all three bad to back with a tank of gas to compare.  First up was the VP Madditive I rate it last place as my motor ran rough and did not make good power. I was concerned that it did not rase the octane enough to run the 93 tune although I did and there was no damage. I will not buy it again. Next place goes to Torco Accellrator this product  worked well with the 93 tune providing smooth acceleration and noticeable power gains I would use it again if Race Gas was unavailable.  In first place and making me a believer is Race Gas. I mixed one can to a tank of 91 and what a difference it made with the 93 tune. The car came alive and was making tons of power. The engine also sounded quieter and smoother than with Torco. I am going to try the Race Gas ultra next. It might be overkill as the normal Race Gas worked so well . I should have used my Dragy to have numbers to back up my butt dyno. Oh well next time.

Thanks Claude...I was hoping for something under $2000!

I would rather not have to pay for a new Transmission that fails just out of warranty...Ford's record with DCT/Select Shift Trannies is not so good (at least on older models)

P.S.  You have two of my favourite muscle cars in your garage!  I only have enough room in my garage for the Edge and a 2018 Road King ;)

missed you asking about the trans....we are running 12.2 @ 115.19 on the edge....no trans or PTU issues.....just change the fluids regularly.

I'm getting too old and busy to do much mods--I'd love to open up the intake and exhaust, but for now it's drop-in filter and the Livernois tune.  Using Dragy, my stock 0-60 was 5.95.  Using the LMS 91 octane tune (with 93 gas) I got a 5.45.  I haven't tried the LMS 93 octane tunewith the Dragy yet, but I expect it to be 5.2-ish.

    --Jim

There isnt much in terms of intake bud, we do have down pipes tho.

    best of luck my firend

If you're planning to get a tune, I remember someone saying Torrie from Unleashed was able to do it with his tunes. LMS tunes does not.

After running through every tuner expect Livernois i can give you some good advice.

If you are staying stock (or simple drop in filter): Unleashed and Livernois are great

    If slightly modified:  BCB

if you want to go Full bolt ons: ZFG

This comes from 2 years of tuning on this platform and modification.

I'll say it for what, the 5th time now, the section on ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL is about ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL.  It only applies when you are USING ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL.  That's why it says "when the system is active".  Also note that in that section there are something like 15 "Warnings" that say if you don't do this you will die.  The suggestion to downshift is not one of those warnings, therefore Ford doesn't consider it a safety issue.

I have feeling this only applies when using ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL.......just a hunch
