  1. Continentals here.. but recently Michelins have been reported.
  2. For my 2007 Loaded Edge (which would = a limited) - 6 week wait - well worth it.
  3. I didn't get a vanity plate but I did get a word... BASE Which is my acronym for Big Ass Sexy Edge.
  4. Ya know.. you might be right..and I would never have noticed. I will just park the Edge in my igloo.. and hibernate for the rest of the winter.. Problem solved. Thanks
  5. Clearly - not enough new posts to keep you guys going.
  6. As for the center stack - in the center of the windshield I can see the reflection... its not a glare - and its in the MIDDLE of the windshield not in driver sight lines.. and its brushed aluminum... I watch the road when I drive and my rear view mirror - I pay no attention to the reflection in the middle of the window.
  7. My Edge had its first oil change today - I asked the service guy if had seen any tranny issues - he said no... and I mentioned the overflow valve on the tranny - at that some had experienced some leaks - But no such cases at this dealership nor did hear anything in terms of TSB. So.. unfortunate for those who have it - a word of wisdom for the rest of us who might see it. Gratefully - its a warranty thing and it seems to happen early in the drive history -
  8. Actually that post time is wrong - I was on at 730 am... not 430.. Took my Edge for its first oil change first thing in the am. Im 6000Kms (3600 miles) - all is good... Nothing like some good espresso.. and good meal - im off to europe in 2 weeks.. can't wait
  9. Lucky for you.. I wouldn't stop from you from opening door OR give you the feminist speech.. (aka I can open own door) I would consider myself..a traditional but modern woman -
  10. OK.. My Edge produced late April - I have the charcoal dash and I live in Ontario (the sun angle may be different) I can see the dash reflection - but it does NOT impede my sight. I drive into the sun in the am and at night to/from work - I can see just fine.
  11. LOL.... Of course - never married no kids, I have an adorable niece and nephew.. No complaints here... life is good...
  12. Im a GIRL... Im here all the time... and Im the lowest demographic - single no kids... Could the Edge be considered a pick up car?
  13. Reports of overfilling have been noted on other posts Note that after it leaked... fluid levels would be near normal. So.. take a breath.. Im sure it will be ok in the end.
  14. IMO - Its not the fact that someone is disappointed with the BAMR - I love my BAMR - would absolutely not have an Edge without one. What I am amazed at - is the venom that gets spewed from certain individuals who have differences in opinion, in particular, some one who thinks they are always right (sweetie or bleadinedge) They are entitled to their opinions on their Edges - but wholly smoke, don't you dare disagree with them. You can't even have a civilzed chat with them. Its a forum.. most us are miles away from one another - your opinion, or my opinion should not affect us all that much. We made our choices... and we need to live by them. What others think.. is just that...what they think. Move on
  15. As a Canadian reading these posts... Some of you yanks need to get the pole out of your asses.. or get laid. Im gonna call it "Forum Rage"
  16. Sweetie is miscalibrated just liked her original odometer unit. Yes sweetie - if you are ghosting around here - as a woman talking to another woman - grow up - you make the rest of us look bad...
  17. Yep.. I have an SEL - ext temp on the controls, dual zone as well. I quite like the set up - easy to use..
  18. Ya know... I test drove a light sage - and I liked the colour.. seen a few on the road around here.. I do catch a glimmer of green.. I will agree its not green or even close to a "minty" green - but it does not come across like silver to me. Fortunately for me - during the colour selection process, I could drive down to FORD OAC where all Edges are parked and picked out my creme brulee. For the life of me - I could never understand why the offered so much grey - alloy and pewter But even the creme brulee pictured on Ford's site is NOTHING like the colour in person. However, they must have listened to you - I believe there is no light sage for 2008
  19. Well.. im a happy Edge owner - 3 months and counting... I have encountered no difficulties... Of course - some will say there is bad dash glare, or the brakes suck.. I say - no complaints here - read thru this forum - and then go test drive one. The general consensus - we ALL love the way it drives and handles...the rest is driver preference...
  20. Who ever shot those - should be shot.. Those suck - unbelievably bad, no style, no taste. no photographic style. I can do a better job with my digital camera. Pay me what ever you paid them.. I promise you more creativity http://www.fordedgeforum.com/index.php?aut...=si&img=248 The above link is to a pic I took - in my dealer's showroom - a much more flattering shot (IMO) of the Edge Those pics by Ford do not capture the Edge's market... not by a long shot
  21. http://ford.ca/awards/ In our local newspaper, Ford placed full page advertising on their achievements. This webpage would translate in to a nice commercial - simple awards flickering... Then a clever ending phrasing... this should be the front page of their websites.
  22. Oh its the spitting image of mine - except I have no tow package...and I have charcoal interior I had to order mine to get it as I wanted.. well worth the wait. Welcome aboard...
  23. As a girl - ice blue is either a girly colour or grandma colour... depending on the shade. Presumably you are a boy - I would stick to silver.. but the black is HOT esp with camel interior, and chrome accents. As a single woman.. I would recommend the black... if you married - check with the wife first.
  24. LOL The NAV screen is fine - as usual Edmunds is being finicky - I love the way it looks, I love the touchscreen - its impressive in my mind. I will still maintain the brakes work just fine..but what do I know - I only have driven it for 3 months in rush hour to work and home. I think a lot of the complainers - are spoiled - if it aint specific to their taste - it aint good at all. Hence the reason there are so many car choices - find the one that best fits you. Otherwise... hop on my 1 HP 4 hoofed saddle open to the elements methanol spewing mind of it's own transportation no tax no insurance device and go for it.
  25. For the last little while.. I haven't been able to hand wash my Edge So finally.. after much time - I hand washed my Edge - something I actually enjoy. So - just wondered - how do you prefer to keep your Edge clean? Tips and tricks welcomed.
