  1. I would have thought so, if it says it is WSS-M97B44-D. It would just need diluting with distilled water.
  2. Looks like the only difference is that the D2 is pre-diluted. Useful guide to Ford-Motorcraft coolants here: https://parts.ford.com/content/dam/ford-parts/resources/motorcraftpdf/Coolants_Brochure.pdf
  3. Welcome. Your car looks great. Liking the all black look. Very sharp. Where are you? The pics look like you're somewhere in the US?
  4. Having to give up my company Mondeo I wanted to get a large SUV to replace it. I looked at, and test drove the following vehicles, the largest SUVs available in the UK: Jeep Grande Cherokee; Range Rover; Jaguar F Pace; Volvo XC90; VW Touareg; and Ford Edge. I chose the Edge because it provided me with what I was looking for at by far the best value. Was one of the best looking too. I had owned Fords for years (the car's layout, controls and features were all very familiar to me), found them to be very reliable and they had the largest dealer network with a dealership within a few miles.
  5. Interesting. Apparently Ford chose the name Mondeo to represent a "World Car" that would sold globally, yet when marketed in America they decided to rename it the Contour.
  6. We don't have either of these models in the UK. In fact we don't have any Lincolns - just Fords. But I do think the revised styling of these two is an improvement on the "bird-beak" front of the previous models but given the choice would always opt for the equivalent Ford as a better looking vehicle. Looks like the Corsair is a posh version of the Ford Kuga we get over here.
  7. Always interesting to see what cars people have owned in the US. None of these other than the Edge was available over here in the UK. Although he Contour does appear to be a US version of an early European Mondeo.
  8. Some nice old cars there. Do you have any pics of them?
  9. Wow, you still own 2 Edges, 2 F150s and a Mustang?? Cool. I barely have space here for my Edge and the wife's little Mini! Would love to own an F150.
  10. Actually 15 now I've counted them properly: 1971 Cortina 1300L Mk3 (green) 1973 Cortina Mk3 1600XL facelift (blue) 1973 Consul-Granada 2.0L (red) 1976 Granada Mk1 2.0L auto (blue) 1974 Escort 1300E (purple) 1977 Cortina Mk4 1600 auto estate (red) 1979 Capri Mk3 2.0L auto (beige) 1989 Sierra Mk2 2.0L Ghia (silver) 1991 Granada-Scorpio Saloon 2.0 Ghia Mk3 (black) 2005 Mondeo Mk3 2.0 (white) 2007 Mondeo Mk4 Estate 2.0 auto (teal) 2010 Mondeo Mk4 Estate 2.0 (black) 2015 Mondeo Mk5 Estate 1.8 (blue) 2018 Mondeo Mk5 Estate 1.8 auto (white) 2018 Edge 2.0 ST-Line auto (canyon ridge)
  11. I've had 14 so far, 9 different models (I think) oldest being a Cortina from 1971, newest late 2018 Edge ST-Line. What about you guys?
  12. Welcome back. Where are you, and do you have any pics of your Edge?
  13. Seeing as Ford already has plans to move production of the Lincoln version to China, perhaps production of the Edge will go there too?
  14. Mostly 70s stuff, classic rock, reggae and soul . 60s Motown and lots of Beatles, including solo stuff. More modern sounds tend to be Country.
  15. Yep. They featured this on Top Gear more than ten years ago.
  16. Cool. Welcome. I'm from England. Do you have a pic of your Edge...what model is it?
  17. I'll be using it when we are allowed out of lockdown again... and if it stops raining!
  18. Years ago you could get 2.8 Cologne and 3.0 Essex V-6s in the larger European Fords - like the Granada (below), Scorpio, Galaxy and performance Capris, Sierras and Mondeos - but these have all been dropped in favour of much more economic and fuel efficient smaller engines. Fuel efficiency is a big factor in Europe as prices are much higher than in the states, e.g. diesel is currently about US$6.18/gallon in the UK. However, although these new engines are much smaller they deliver a lot more power than the larger engines they replaced e.g. the old 3.0 litre Granada delivered just 128 hp (130 PS) and 17.6mpg fuel consumption (14.7 US mpg) compared to my 2.0 litre Edge's 207 hp (210PS) and 37.2mpg. I had 2 of these Consul-Granadas in the 80s. The largest Ford you could get at the time.
  19. The Lux pack was an essential requirement for me, so took a while to find the right vehicle.
  20. Yes, I believe there's a much larger range of engines available in North America than we had in Europe. Here we got only one - the twin turbocharged 2 litre Diesel, either 210PS auto or 180PS with manual transmission. Mine's a 210 Auto. The manual cars are really rare.
  21. Thanks. It's the model that replaced the Sport here in UK - the ST-Line. Not a lot of difference though, as far as I can tell.
  22. Hi. Is that cool looking chrome grill on your Edge standard? We don't have any that look like that over here in the UK.
  23. Hi there. Welcome to you in Canada from fellow newb here in lockdown England.
  24. Hi there. Welcome to you in Canada, from me over in England.
  25. That's a nice colour too - you don't see many. They're mostly monochrome - black, white or silver. According to "How Rare is My Car" there are only 764 blue Edges in the UK (11% of the total). Does yours have the parking assist? I've not had much opportunity to try it out much on mine yet.
