thanx....jimmerz....the H&R Springs were $257.00 from the tire rack(that incl shipping), the labor to put them on was $295.35. My local ford dealer has an SVT Tech...so he installed them for me..took him about 4 hrs. I was going to do it myself...but messing with springs and that awd on my edge could of turned out bad...so i let the real pro's do it. The wheels are the stock ones that came with my edge (18"). I am taking those off in 2 weeks and adding larger rims and tires.

AS I CUSTOMIZE MY EDGE....I WILL NOT NEED THE 18" FACTORY CHROME WHEELS AND TIRES THAT ARE ON MY EDGE. I WILL BE MOUNTING NEW 22" WHEELS AND TIRES WITHIN 30 DAYS. IS ANYONE INTERESTED IN BUYING THESE....THEY WILL PROBABLY HAVE ABOUT 200 MILES ON THEM BY THE TIME I TAKE THEM OFF. THE WHEELS WERE AN OPTION ON MY EDGE FOR $750. I WILL SELL ALL 4 WHEELS AND TIRES FOR $500 IF ANYONE IS INTERESTED. DID NOT POST THIS SALE ON EBAY...I WANT THE EDGE OWNERS ON THIS FORUM TO GET THEM....GOOD GROUP OF PEOPLE HERE. NOT SURE HOW WE COULD DO THIS TRANSACTION. I HAVE A UPS STORE ABOUT 15 MILES FROM ME, SO I BELIEVE UPS COULD SHIP THEM...I WILL EVEN SPLIT SHIPPING COST INSTEAD OF HAVING BUYER PAY THE WHOLE AMOUNT.....LET ME KNOW....AGAIN IT WILL BE 30 DAYS OR LESS BEFORE THEY ARE OFF MY EDGE.

Thank ya robertlane.....i think the body kit from 3d carbon and the rims will really set this edge off from everything else on the road.

I was gonna try and use the original straps...i have a feelng they will not fit on the much larger wheels though...we will see.

OK..MY EDGE IS GETTING LOWERED TOMORROW BY MY LOCAL FORD DEALER WITH H&R SPRINGS (THEY ARE AN AUTHORIZED SVT DEALER AND ARE OUTSTANDING AT PERFORMANCE MODIFICATIONS). 22" BLACK RHINO "bull" WHEELS ARE ON ORDER.....BODY KIT WILL BE ADDED BEFORE MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND. I WILL POST PHOTOS OF THE TRANSFORMATION AS IT HAPPENS. BELOW IS PHOTO OF MY EDGE ABOUT 5 MIN AFTER I SIGNED AWAY MY LIFE, AND BEFORE IT WENT INTO FORD SERVICE DEPT TO BE LOWERED. ALSO THIS IS THE RIM I AM GOING TO MOUNT...TELL ME WHAT YOU GUYS THINK!!!! MY CONDOLENCES TO ALL THOSE LOST AT VA. TECH UNIVERSITY......I AM AT A LOSS FOR WORDS!!!!!

Anybody know if hid headlights can be installed on the edge????If so, where can u purchase them and which ones are best. Do not want the cheap, blue lights u see coming down the road on those hondas.

Dan, definitly interested in aftermarket parts/performance....i have'nt even driven mine home yet because tomorrow it is bieng lowered with the h&r springs...22" wheels are on order and a body kit should be on by middle may. Keep us posted

Yes, it is called amethyst metallic....a sort of black purple.....guess what...i bought and drove home my amethyst metallic sel awd/roof thursday 12 apr....i love this thing. My 4 year old daughter said to me the other night...daddy, i want to see the stars, so i opened up the 4 ft sunroof.....she just stared out the top as we drove home....you will love this car.
