JUST A QUICK NOTE......i weighed both my factory wheels and the new 22's to see the weight difference while i was getting the 22's mounted; so you guys would have an idea of the difference in weight. (not as bad as i thought it would be). The ford factory 18" chrome clad(plastic) wheel and continental tire weigh 66.7 pds each. My new 22's with the 305/40/22 tires came in at 80.20 pds !! Soooo..... about 58 extra pounds was added to the vehicle....i will remove the spare and that should drop it down to about 25 pds extra. NOT BAD......

Detailed my edge this morning...had it pinstriped with chrome pinstripping last night just to add a little pizzaz to it. Just wanted to put some pics out. My 3d carbon body kit is in...just gotta get it prepped and painted...2-3 weeks. (i hope) Will post pics when it is on.e08.jpg]

Keep us posted...it sucks that a "new" $35,000 vehicle has this kind of problem. I am thinking it could just be a bad seal. I have heard something as simple as a seal not bieng put on by a mechanic or dealer or manufacturer. A $10 seal can cause you headaches. Again keep us posted. Think i will put mine on jack stands this weekend and check my transfer case/oil pan, etc, for any leaks just to be sure.

I will have to remove my hitch that came on my edge...i will never use it anyways.

Dam ksaness07edge...that is not good. I have yet to have any problems with mine...no vista roof squeals/problems...no transfer case problems.....nothing!! I better stop before i jinx myself.....let us know what ford does/says when you take it in. Good luck...

No, they are aftermarket.....about $1400 cheaper than the ford offerings. Outstanding lcd 7" screens with wireless headsets and remote control....my 5 yr old daughter loves it. She is quiet for hours with dora the explorer in the player.

Yeah, they released it back in apr....already recv mine and now just waiting for paint, and then i will mount it. Exceptional kit at $1555.00

Member dilgen..here are pics of the dvd headrest i mounted in my egde to replace those annoying and neck breaking factory ford offerings. Member NYedge hooked me up with the info on these back in apr...and i got them...they are outstanding, and they were under $425 for the pair.

FINALLY.......FINALLY.......FINALLY...........GOT MY 22'S IN AND THEY WERE MOUNTED LATE YESTERDAY :hyper: ...THINK I SHOULD OF GOTTEN A THINNER SIDE WALL (35) INSTEAD OF THE (40) THAT I GOT....TIRES ARE 305/40-22(1 FT WIDE, I LOVE THE LOOK) LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU GUYS THINK. OH...MY VEHICLE IS LOWERED ALSO. .

When i posted the cargo liner company i tried to get a photo they had on their website that resembled the edge....i was able to configure my vehicle (07 edge) on their website and a list of their cargo liners came out for the edge specifically.

copperhead....I had my edge lowered the day after i bought it (25 apr 07) with H&R lowering springs. Dropped it 1.5"front, 1.75" rear. Bought my springs thru the tire rack at $255.00 and my ford dealer took 4hrs to pull the ford springs and install the h&r performance springs...they then aligned it. Warranty not compromised according to them. Much better handling in corners, and i hated the "4 wheel drive pickup truck look". Check photos in my member gallery. (saleens7) I called H&R in Washington state, and they were outstanding as far as info....(they had an edge customized at sema last year). I also just got my 22" wheels and 305/40-22 tires in a few days ago and will have them put on next week, will let you know about the ride and handling. The wider tire should drastically improve handling performance, but will add weight as will the 22" wheels. I am going to weigh my 18" wheels, then my 22" wheels to see the weight differance...will let you know. As for performance...magnaflow and gibson will have performance exhaust out in 30 days i think....turbonetics emailed me last night and said they are looking at a turbo kit for the edges 3.5L engine. K&N filters does not have a performance filter out yet either. Could not find anyone that makes a strut tower brace yet. I also changed my battery to a "yellow top" optima battery...(top of the line when it comes to batteries), and gonna change all my fluids to redline performance fluids. Keep me posted if you find more handling products.

You are welcome.....the carpet in the back of the edge holds every piece of dirt. Drives me crazy. Placing my orer for the cargo liner next firday.

it is by xovision.....xovision.com. cost was $80 monitor/rear view mirror..$90 for license plate camera. i love it...picture is amazing, and when not in reverse the monitor switches back to a rear view mirror so u can see the kids in the back. hope this helps mr yuen2

i double the they suck qoute...i am 6'3" and my head gets angled down slghtly...hate these headrests.
