  6. i just ran into an issue with the McGard locks and after removal of one their recommendation is not to use anti=seize but a small spray of LPS 1,I have always used never-seize,Marty

I ordered one tailight to see about the fit,ad to the wiring I am going to use the existing configuration for stop and signal,not using the amber turn signal,Later I will use the upper stop lamp circuit to trigger a relay with another power feed to operate the stop lamps and the use the stop lamp circuits to power the amber lamps,I will modify the wiring on the signal switch so the ambers don't work when you apply the brakes,Marty 2010 Edge Limited
  8. I get a machine gun effect when stopping at certain times,It seems only to happen when both rotors align the out of parallel surface,if you turn a corner it goes away,soon to replace brakes and rotors,Marty

Try to google ford Evap, I had a Jeep that had a core replaced under warranty,It failed again,I replaced it myself,too much work to pull dash etc,The second one went out and I kept refilling the Freon,I tried several different sealers to no avail,until I found a super sealer,cost about$20 that worked,took a few day for the solvent smell to dissipate but it worked,Marty
  10. Just filled up an drove about 1000' to the Hwy and after about 50 miles the Mpg was 25.5, Marty drove at around 72 MPH
  11. I Have a 2005 VW Touareg and with the Vag-Com cable thru the OBD port I was able to change the number of blinks from 3to 5 ,and many other diagnostic measurements,,Not FORD,Marty

  13. I have the OTC line set that should do all tranny line,has worked well on A/C lines,and jeep tranny lines,the trans fluid change is a breeze,there is a drain plug on it drain and refill using the proper fluid on my 2010 it's LV,uses about 4.75 gts. I wouldn't use any fluid but OEM spec,Marty
  14. Does this happen only when applying brakes? or when it heats up it starts grinding as in a noisy wheel bearing? Marty

The edge brake system transmits the grinding sound thru the suspension,this has been discussed many times,do a search,after sitting a day or so this happens and goes away after a few stops,my 2010 Limited has 24,000 miles is in need of a front rotor because of slight pulsation,the choice was Motorcrap $65. or centric for $ 84,I am leaning toward the latter,Marty

The Flasher is load sensitive,if a turn signal filament or stop light goes out the flasher works at a faster speed to let you know a lamp is out. 4157K is oe 4157ll is long life, the rear sockets burn because the lamps generate most heat when you sit at a stop with your foot on brake ,it would not burn if flashing because of the intermittent on/off cycle,Marty

  20. NOT what I am saying. Splice the positive from LED to Parking Lamp HOT,POS. + wire,Splice Neg from LED to signal light HOT,+ wire,when parking lights are on the LED will light,when the signal flashes so will the LED,Marty

  22. Remove the ground connection to the LED from chassis and tie it into the signal light circuit wire,the LED will pickup ground thru signal lamps an go off when signal is flashing,reverse of signal lamp. when signal is off the Led will light and when signal is on the LED will go out.Marty
  23. My 2010 limited has the engine immobilizer but no security alarm as to doors windows or hood,or contents,Ford's alarm system sets with the key fob that is supplied with car and turns off when you open the door or door's,Marty
