Checked Tire pressure,temp 22 deg F,pressure was 32 psi raised to 35 psi,refueled,added Lucas Top Cyl oil,Drove about 2 miles to Southern State Pkwy,(New York) Drove about 65 miles to exit 64,Snow and wind conditions, mileage was 25.2,avg speed 65-70,last 15 miles about 55 mph on the return trip,roads were snow covered,high winds,65 mph avg,down to 50 until I passed the snow plows,Mileage was 24.2 mpg,car has 5570 miles,Edge Limited AWD,Marty

Thanx Lex,my Touareg has Bi-zenon lights and the flash to pass are Hoen Zenon match H7 70 watt,a terrific combo,even though I didn't do the six gun salute,which allows Zenon high,and flash to pass on with the fog's, Marty

It seems that the Edge transmits sounds thru the suspension,when the road surfaces change,when you drive over hard packed snow spots,I get the same brake grinding sounds also,Marty

Goldy,I found the FL 500 at parts authority in my area(NY) and paid wholesale $6.25,Check Walmart oil prices are $20 for 5 qts of Penzoil Platnimum Synthetic and the will be getting the Fl 500 shortly,It's a new Item ,Marty

The leading pad will wear more than the other creating space and a lower pedal,air in the system will cause a spongy pedal,air is compressible ,hydraulic fluid is not. I have a 2010 Limited 3000 miles,the brake pedal is 3/4" from the top and firm since I applied pressure while standing still,Marty

Try stepping on the brake pedal several times when not moving,will reduce the pad clearances to the rotors and centralize the calipers and the pedal will be closer to the top,and won't be as mushy, Marty

That is typical of most Ford products - not sure why. The only upgrade I know of that seems to help is braided stainless steel brake lines. Soft hoses will cause this ,try bleeding brake system,could also be air,Marty

Nick,I agree,I use Lucas upper cylinder lube every tankful,Years ago I used A marvel mystery oil injector,1 quart per 1000 miles ,had a ford V8 with over 100000 miles and when taken apart every one said they never saw cleaner valves,I still have a brand new marvel injectir,Marty

Have you checked for a battery drain or also tested battery after charging with a load tester,and the charging voltage while running:13.8/14.2 volts,you may be exceeding alternator output by adding all the amps,check your charging circuit,Marty

I have 2500 miles and have done the first oil change,it's my wifes car but I have been driving it on weekends,I find it is a great vehicle,ride,radio,comfort etc, economy is getting better,some what better on reg gas than my 2005Touareg on premium,good luck with yours,Marty

I have a 2010 Limited AWD,build date 06/09,the owners manual says oil filter is FL 500 S , The oem filter had stamped between the inlet holes 22 MM,the new FL 500 S has 22 MM stamped between the inlet holes,Marty

PXB006,I have a 2010 Edge Limited changed the oil at 2225 miles and found the same problem,the p 3600 and the Fl 400 A threads were too small to fit ,I am trying to find the correct filter number,for the 2010,the Oem filter has no part numbers,Marty K&N K33HP2009 filter has a 1"x 16 tpi,Thread Fram PH3600 has a 3/4"x16 tpi.Thread FL 500 For V6 3.5L after 1/16/2009 thread size 22 mmX 1.5mm
