  1. Ahh, I misread. He had mentioned liking the tinted Ford emblems in another thread. I have the matt black ones myself and just waiting for the weather to warm up to install.
  2. ^The windows look tinted to me. You don't necessarily need to go with limo for a "murdered out" look. You do need some black wheels though. ...and I have also been toying with the idea of black emblems (Limited & Edge). Might have to buy and extra set and do some painting come spring time.
  3. ^ Thanks for the info!!! Next time im at the dealer i'll have the see if the part numbers from my AWD limited are the same as the AWD Sport.
  4. None. Do you mean the light flashing on and off or the feeling in the pedal? Everything seemed normal for me.
  5. More snow in the Chicago area and I finally have the chance to see how the Edge and the 20" Pirelli's handle it. So far so good but there are mixed reviews out on the Pirelli's. Hope they continue to perform well under snowy conditions.
  6. I believe the present was the bug deflector and not the car itself. Looks good. :yup: I have been debating on getting one myself. Just don't know if I want to be drilling holes into my new car.
  7. I'll just go ahead and answer me own question since no one wants to contribute. I just received an email from H&R and it seems as though they do not sell sway bar for the Edge. Odd since a google search shows retailers selling them. Anyone know if the sway bars on the Edge Sport are the same as the SEL & Limited?
  8. As I stated in my last post there is evidence on this forum that the PTU problem has come up on 2009's.
  9. As shown by evidence in the forum the PTU problem still existed up until the 09 model. Hopefully they have got it figured out now with the 2010.
  10. Has anyone installed a larger rear sway bar on their AWD Edge? ...if so what are your impressions? Steeda lists one ONLY for FWD models and it looks like H&R sells a 25mm rear sway for both AWD and FWD models. I added a larger rear sway bar on my last car and it made a pretty significant difference in handling and was hoping to eliminate some of the Edge's body roll in the corners. Also does anyone know the diameter of the stock rear sway bar? TIA
  11. Funny you say that because I had originally ordered an AWD SRX which would have cost me $10k more by the time everything was said and done. I could not justify spending that much more for basically the same car. The SRX has the same hp as the Edge and puts out 27 LESS ft/lbs torque than the Edge. Also I wasn't a fan of the pop-up NAV system. I thought for sure this would be one of the first things to malfunction. I'm glad I made the right choice in buying an Edge. :yup:
  12. "A popular vehicle that Rack Attack has been ”racking” over the past year or so is the Ford Edge (and Lincoln MKX) with a Vista roof package. Unfortunately, Ford does not offer the factory side-rail package for this vehicle, because the part of the roof where the side-rails would connect is weakened due to the glass of the moon roof. But as they say, all is not lost. Thule has a crossbar system that “clips” around the frame of the doors – which, instead of putting the weight near the glass roof, puts it over the door frame. Using this type of rack gives you a weight capacity of 165 pounds, which is more than enough to carry a cargo box. This roof rack system, called the 400xt system, retails for $409.96, and includes the 400xt Feet, the 2191 Fit Kit (this is the vehicle specific component), a pair of 58″ Load Bars, and locks. On the 2008 Edge pictured below, we installed a black Thule Spirit, one of Thule’s premium cargo boxes: The Spirit is one of Thule’s lowest profile boxes (at 14.2″), with an aerodynamic styling that is unique to its shape. It is a heavy box at 57 lbs. (partially due to the metal reinforcement underneath – which gives it a quieter ride by cutting down on vibration), so it is a good thing the 400xt rack can take the weight. The Spirit’s best feature, in my opinion, is its seductive design – especially on the gloss black model – making it a handsome addition to any vehicle."
  13. There is some info here. http://www.leftlanenews.com/lincoln-mkx-2011.html ...and a bunch of other similar topics with more info. http://www.fordedgeforum.com/index.php?act...ite=%2B2011+mkx
  14. Thanks, the color is Sterling Grey Metallic. Since my last car was Light Silver Metallic my color choice was a no brainer. "Available ambient lighting lets you change your mood at whim. LEDs light up the front and rear footwells, front storage areas and front cupholders. Seven colors to choose from: red, yellow, green, blue, purple, white or aqua."
  15. Woohoo! Congrats!!! :happy feet:
  16. Only thing I'm not too found of is the "mushy" brakes. I finally got to experience first hand what others were talking about. Hopefully that will be fixed by Brembo's in the future. Other than that it's great. Still need to read through the NAV manual but I've picked up most of the basic functions by just sitting in the drivers seat and messing around.
  17. Thanks, I just moved in 4 months ago so the garage is a work in process. So far I just have primer on the walls and new lighting. Spring time is when the magic happens. :yup:
  18. Very nice but I don't understand your user-name "hateonhaters"? You drive a Ford Edge and not an Aston Martin/ Ferrari/ Maybach so what is there to hate on?
  19. I believe the remote start option was only about 145 if you bought it with the car. Hard to pass up.
  20. It's here!!! :happy feet: :happy feet: :happy feet: I'm going to try to pick it up today. Maybe I'll have some pics up by later tonight. :hyper:
