  1. I prefer "Piece of Mind". Its been unusually hot and humid here in the Chicago area. My gfs car has the same issue. I'm not worried about it.
  2. The Ford mechanic also recommended Amsoil and said he changes the oil in his car every 20k miles. The oil Ford had put in looked black after just 3k miles so I dont think twice about $25 fully synthetic oil change every 3k. You can call it piece of mind. On the other hand my Audi took 9.5 quarts of fully synthetic so I changed it every 5k miles.
  3. I just changed the oil on my Edge yesterday for the first time at 10300 miles. (Less than 7 months old) The dealer gave me one freebee which I got done at 7500. I changed over to Mobil 1 fully syn and even though I realize changing it out every 3k is an overkill with synthetic its not breaking the bank at $21/ 5 quarts. Another quart cost me 6.40 and I can split that between 2 oil changes. Ford mechnic told me to not go fully synthetic until after 9-10k miles to make sure everything seats properly.
  4. You're already on the internet. Google is your friend.
  5. ^ That's horrible. Tell your wife to throw on some sunglasses and stop complaining.
  6. Actually since my last post I found having my head lay against the top of the headrest is the most comfortable. Different strokes for different folks.
  7. All sound like questions you should have asked your salesperson. Maybe even a quick google search on the subject? Take a look at this article that come up as the first result when I typed in "2011 ford Edge Sport 0-60" http://www.autoblog.com/2010/03/17/2011-ford-edge-sport-first-ride-exclusive/
  8. This forum should be named "Ford Edge -- Join only if you have a complaint ".
  9. I used mine through this past Chicago winter and never had an issue with salt or snow getting on the carpets. BTW, im 6'2"
  10. You can find the Magnaflow on ebay for under 500.
  11. Looks like there might be some out there already. Unless dealers have their orders already listed up for sale. http://www.cars.com/for-sale/searchresults.action?sf1Dir=DESC&mkId=20015&mdId=21039&crSrtFlds=stkTypId-feedSegId-mkId-mdId-yrId&rd=100000&zc=60192&PMmt=1-1-0&stkTypId=28880&sf2Dir=ASC&sf1Nm=price&sf2Nm=location&rpp=50&feedSegId=28705&yrId=34923&searchSource=GN_REFINEMENT&pgId=2102 http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/searchresults.jsp?lastStartYear=2008&num_records=25&search_lang=en&page_location=findacar%3A%3Aispsearchform&search_type=new&distance=0&address=60192&marketZipError=false&style_flag=1&make=FORD&model=EDGE&make2=&start_year=2011&end_year=2011&min_price=&max_price=&seller_type=b&transmission=&engine=&drive=&doors=&fuel=&max_mileage=&color=&keywordsrep=&keywordsfyc=&keywords_display=&sort_type=priceDESC&body_code=0&certified=&advanced=&highlightFirstMakeModel=&showZipError=y&default_sort=priceDESC&awsp=false&systime=&rdm=1276528925723
  12. I believe he sold him on ebay for around that price. He was horrible at returning email.
  13. Thanks for proving my point. The load bang he is referring to is coming from the PTU/Transmission unit. If your Edge does not have this issue then you wouldn't know what he is reffering to. Clunk and loud bang are pretty much synonymous in my book.
  14. That's not the noise he is reffering to. This is a know issue on a lot of Edges and their is a TSB out on it. Read the thread I linked in the above post.
  15. Katzkin leather is great. I had it installed in one of my previous vehicles and its quality is definitely superior to what Ford offers in the Edge. As far as wood grain im going to say SKIP. Some guy posted pics of his and it did nothing but cheapen the look of the Edge. Here it is.
  16. I've got one. I'll try to take a pic of it later today. True the design wasnt well thought out but it does do its job.
  17. I think you mean cheaper OEM parts. Here you go. http://www.tascaparts.com/partlocator/index.cfm?siteid=213668
  18. 'You're taking everything that I say as a personal insult.' is what I was referring to. It had nothing to do with disagreeing or opinions. Seems like you try to twist everything I type into something negative.
