  1. I see you have Ultrac Vredestein Sessanta's. I had those on my s4. Pretty good tire for the price. I think I would have gone with a Torque Thust M wheel though. Thats just my opinion though.
  2. The dealer is allowed to offer you an alternative wheel. You just might have to pay the difference.
  3. Looks like those tail lights would be a direct swap with the earlier models.
  4. 9 speakers vs. 4 speaker and it didn't sound significant? Interesting. Basically with a Limited you have more standard components while with the SEL you can get a stripped down model or build it with the options you choose. If you think you will get an SEL with all the options a Limited has for cheaper you're wrong. I like my 20" wheels and im looking into purchasing 22" Sport wheels and I find the ride very comforatable. The benefit of the smaller rim is there is less chance you will damage them. The only downfall I see that the Limited has is the chrome trim pieces. Something I might change in the future. The info below as posted by another member in another thread that asked the same question. The following are standard features on the Edge Limited which are optional on the Edge SEL (as copied and pasted directly from the Ford website). Of course, there may have been subsequent changes which the website does not reflect, but this information is mostly accurate: 1 - Front seating: Leather-trimmed seating surfaces with contrast stitching (available on SEL as part of optional Premium Package or part of Seating Flexibility Package). 2 - Front seating: Six-way power passenger seat with fold-flat front-passenger seat back (available on SEL as part of optional Seating Flexibility Package). 3 - Front seating: Heated (available on SEL as part of optional Premium Package). 4 - Front seating: Driver seat memory (available on SEL as part of optional Premium Package). 5 - Rear seating: Leather-trimmed seating surfaces with contrast stitching (available on SEL as part of optional Premium Package or part of Seating Flexibility Package). 6 - Premium Package: Dual-Zone Electronic Automatic Temperature Controls, leather-trimmed seating surfaces, heated front seats with driver-side memory feature, power heated exterior mirrors with memory features, particulate air filter, and security approach lamps. 7 - Seating Flexibility Package: Leather-trimmed front and rear seating surfaces, 6-way power passenger seat, front row passenger fold-flat seat-back, EasyFold™ remote second row seat back release. 8 - Air conditioning: Dual-Zone Electronic Automatic Temperature Controls (available in SEL as part of optional Premium Package). 9 - Particulate air filter (available in SEL as part of optional Premium Package). 10 - SYNC voice-activated, hands-free in-car communications and entertainment system. 11 - Audiophile® Sound System with nine speakers. 12 - Auxiliary climate controls on steering wheel (available on SEL as part of optional Premium Package). I actually think these were eliminated with the introduction of SYNC. 13 - Heat and memory features on power exterior mirrors (available on SEL with optional Premium Package). 14 - Universal garage door opener (optional on SEL as part of the Premium Package). 15 - Premium Package: Dual-Zone Electronic Automatic Temperature Controls, leather-trimmed seating surfaces, heated front seats with driver-side memory features, power heated exterior mirrors with memory features, particulate air filter, security approach lamps, universal garage door opener. 16 - 18-inch premium chrome-clad aluminum wheels with P245/60R18 black sidewall all-season tires 17 - 20-inch premium chrome-clad aluminum wheels with sport-tuned suspension and P245/50R20 BSW all-season tires. These wheels are an option on the Limited, but not available from the factory on the SEL at all. 18 - Reverse Sensing System
  5. The bore size is different so you would have to get yourself some hubcentric rings or have the bore milled out. Depending on which you choose to go with. As far as chrome clad vs aluminun or polished aluminum if you scrape a curb your going to do damage to any type of wheel.
  6. Threads don't close unless done so by a moderator. The guy obviously joined to advertise his wheels and never came back. I emailed him about the wheels and there was poor communication. His ebay account never received feedback about the wheels and they sold for 1800 plus shipping. IMO overpriced.
  7. One of my favorite cars. I bought a 94 formula brand new and had it for 9 yrs. I still look at getting a ws6 or firehawk formula. So tempting. Do you have any pics?
  8. Unfortuantely a lot of people join forums because they are having a problem and they think they might find an answer here. You will see this on just about any car forum you join so I wouldnt base your overall opinion on a forum. Get in one yourself and take it out for a weekend. Rent one if the dealer wont let you take one out. Get a true feel of everything it has to offer first hand.
  9. I have to disagree. Those wheels are hideous.
  10. It took about 5 weeks before I received my VIN and it was delivered exactly 2 momths after I placed my order.
  11. Your salesman should be able to tell you that.
  12. Here they are in 22". 225-55-20 are much too small. The stock tire on a 20" Edge wheel is 245/50/20.
  13. Just as many, if not more, agree with me. Shall we poll the Germans? Your statements as just as much opinion as mine and the writers of those articles. :kuko:
  14. Maybe I should be asking you the same question. Everyone has an opinion. Mine as well is yours is a strong one.
  15. The statements above just proved to me that you haven't driven a Q7 or anything in the Audi line up recently. The Audi Q7 is a heavy pig but then again it isn't made to run on the Nurburgring. A well equipment Q7 comes with adaptive air suspension and of course Audi's second to NONE quattro system. Maybe you've heard of it? Ford/Lincoln can not yet complete with the comfort, quality, and stability of Audi. Unfortunately Audi doesn't offer the 500hp/757 lb-ft of torque v12 TDI here in the states because the winner of the brawn competition would be a no brainer. Keep to reading magazine articles. I'll stick to using my senses to determine the true winner. So Waldo says the German car maker Audi "rushed" to market to satisfy consumers. Funny because Audi was the last luxury car maker to enter the crossover market. Seems to me like they did their homework before they jumped into anything. I know you're smarter than that Waldo. It's one thing to be brand loyal and another to blantantly ignore the competition.
  16. Agreed. Even though I never had an issue with my Audi and it included free maintenance for the length of the warranty im sure in the long run the Audi would cost more to operate than the Ford/Lincoln.
  17. I should have known you'd respond. Comparing a Q5 to a Mkx?? Same result. MkT to a Q7? I hope you're not serious. You read too many Car & Driver magazines. Maybe you need to drive them all yourself before coming to a conclusion. Better yet open your eyes and take a look at the two. I've driven all the vehicles we speak of and Audi comes out on top on fit and finish as far as im concerned.
  18. The fit and finish of the Q5 will blow the Edge away. No comparing Audi to Ford. Of course that is just opinion. On the other hand I do not like the styling of the Q5 at all. It looks like a rollerskate to me. The Q7 is a different story. I would have picked up an s-line 4.2 Q7 in a heartbeart if the price was right.
  19. +1 Just something the cops can use as an excuse to pull you over. IMO it cheapens the look of the car. You should have stayed OEM and gone with the Sport tails. At least they're DOT approved and would give you the look you are trying to achieve.
  20. My statement wasn't addressed towards you. As you can see I quoted "Goldy". I agree with what you said.
  21. Correct, no "break-in" oil in the Edge.
