  1. Ok guys, before some said i have too much time. Guess now you will be thinking that i am gone crazy. Made my own Edge or maybe a "possible" model above. Body-style as known but with a face more oriented at the styling of the Taurus. Further i stretched the car a bit to longer length and wheelbase to be more spacius and variable like his halfbrother CX-9. It is also now a fullsize-crossover with 7 seats and more comparable with CUVs like Saturn Outlook and his brother models. The space of the regular Edge is ok...but that would be the perfect Edge for me. Take a look and have fun :D : Yes, i know that i am crazy
  2. Why do you think that? I would say it just the other direction: They should taken headlights from the actual Taurus and should made the grill a bit more in V-Form to make the "face" a little bit more sporty and aggressive. I would like that. Greets Marc

    Fuel Average

Hi, the first measure in my opinion should be to calculate a complete tank filling per comparison with the driven kms. Then you will know the true fuel consumption. After that it is quite easier to say if it is a heavy technical problem with your Edge is consumpting too much or only the BC has a failure. As far as i know the calculating behavior of the BC is programmable over a variable in the Diagnostics (OBD II) . Maybe someone played with it and the variable is totally nonsense to calculate to high values. Greets Marc
  4. Hello again, here the second version:
  5. Will make a second version with it soon. Am afraid a bit that it will be too much chrome and where will be the numbersplate then? But we will see it when it is ready. Other question: Do you know that it will be chrome or do you think or hope? Greets Marc
  6. When you are meaning this one, i would say "No".
  7. Hi, yes, seem youre right is just a theme i am interested in...what is your opinion how the Edge should look? Would you like it in this way? Other opinions?
  8. Hi all together, was bored a bit and made this little photowork. What do you think? Am I right with my thoughts that the chromegrill will be similar like at actual model? Or will it generally be in black or in body-color or will it depend on trim level? Take a look: Here is the original spy photo: and here my edited version: Original by Brian Williams; leftlanenews.com; Editing only for fun purposes :hyper: Greets Marc
  9. Hi, actually i see two problems for that...no matter in which forum you will ask: 1. When you will ask what kind of LPG System is recommendable you will get 10 answers with 15 opinions. One has good experiences with Prins and bad with BRC. With the next it is vice versa and one another has a friend with STAG and the friend of the neighbors dog has a turini, but would recommend Vialle. and so on. 2. No one is knowing the Edge and its engine and is really sure if the engine would work fine with LPG. If it would need flashlube or not. Is a dynamically Gas and LPG mixing system better...yes or no....and so on. Here in Germany is a quite well known website for calculating car driving costs named www.spritmonitor.de. It actually has 220.000 registered vehicles and 180.000 Users. Many with LPG, too. There is not even one single Edge or other car with Duratec 35 with LPG. Only one Edge with normal Gas-Engine: Mine. So it is quite difficult to get a usable opinion if it is a good idea to get a LPG system inserted in the Edge and when yes...which one. The only way is to phone different shops to get many different offers. Then a mix of heart, head and price have to make a decision and after some weeks or month you will know if the decision was right. Greets Marc

according to the color i guess it is not a sport. Is it the 3d carbon kit? Heavily nice car, dude. Is looking like my one should look.
  11. Seems that the human being is always loving what is hard(er) to get According the europe Ford-Models you are not meaning what you are writing. The Ford Fiesta may be quite nice for a small car...would say thats right, too. But with the Fusion i guess you mean the Mondeo instead. The american Fusion is not really comparable with the european one because this one is based on the old Fiesta, but more practical...with higher roof for a bit more space. Would also really want to know who had the idea with the same name for those different cars...is looking like Ford-Modelname-Designers in Europe were not knowing whats the matter on the other side of that big puddle. Seems quite stupid. so i guess you mean the Mondeo this is the european counterpart to the US-Fusion in one class with similar technical bases...but not with completely identical platform, how i just learned. But i can understand your arguments. Mondeo, S-Max, Galaxy and some more are well designed with quite modern technology and high driving qualities. On the other side (i am from Germany) i like many american models and think some are missing here in Germany resp. Europe. Especially the bigger models. Why is here no official european counterpart to the Edge...instead only the smaller Kuga on Focus-base. Models like comparable Touareg, M-Class or XC90 are quite successfull here in Europe, too and some like bigger cars like that resp. need them. Well, i guess we dont need an Expedition here in Europe, but models like the actual Explorer, Edge, Taurus with some minor changes for special regional european needs would be not unsuccessful and would find their buyers, when not too expensive. Well, I like them....effectually that is quite enough :yup: Greets from Germany Marc
  12. hi, i still know that you already asked me about it, but i want to answer here in your thread again anyway. Guess you won`t get any further answer here, because the most of the members here are from USA and Canada. There LPG isnt playing any role yet on the continent of North America. Members from Europe are here only just a few people. As i already told you i would like to insert a LPG-System, too. But the costs for that operation are blowing my financial reserves at the moment. Just when that is changing i will do it. After some investigation i am quite sure that the Duratec 35 will easily take an LPG-system in long term without big problems. Cant imagine that this engine will have problems like some european Ford-Models with the Zetec-Engines for example. Here in Germany some Mondeos with Duratec 25 and 30 Engine with LPG are driven without heavy disadvantages...some with and some without flashlube. At last i would say you can the LPG insertion be made without any sorrows. Actual i had some reccommendations for STAG 300 and Vialle-Systems. Costs here in Germany are between 2500,- and 3000,- EUR, when it has to be quite serious. Greets again Marc
  13. Not mentioned in the overview yet http://media.ford.com/mini_sites/10031/2011MKX/
  14. hmmm...who is interested in wheels? when i like a car i dont mind that i will change in disliking cause of some wheels or if it is a real chrome layer or not. When i dont like the wheels i will give them to a well known big online auctioneer and purchase some other. I was an Audi driver by myself and i didnt bought it cause of the wheels. When that is all of faults that the 2011 MKX and Eddies will have than we should all be quite happy. :shades:
  15. Very cool car. Is looking quite nice, but im waiting for the Edge. At the "old/actual" model i like the Lincoln more, but is hard to get here in Germany and Eddie is also quite nice. At the 2011 model i like more the interieur of the Edge and would prefer it, when it is looking cool outside, too. Greets Marc
  16. is looking ver awesome. Like the interieur of the edge more, too. Lincoln is looking strange a bit, i think. also a leather trim on the dashboard and i would love the new edge. Are there new exterieur pics now. When will be the first presentation of the edge? Greets from Germany Marc
  17. Hello Flyboy, Belgium is not so far...ok...not as far as USA :-) We would try it, but ...to say it directly... we are not so liquid for the costs about 2500-3000 EUR yet. So we have to wait a little for the right moment. We dont have to drive so much and so far, that it is not so hard to wait. Greets Marc
  18. hi, with my edge i did it also from the top...on the right side it is completely easy and on the left side you have to get left from whiskwater-tank downside...with a little sense of touche it is also quite fast done.
  19. is it ok to go further in this thread or not? this one has more nice pics or not? i will go on... :shades: This is our hairy companion as small whelp some later ...snow clearing ...looking for some nice guys with as much hairs as herself... ..."what?...you have some buiscuits?...yes...yes sure i can make some poses for camera...no problem" ..."was not sure what you exactly ment when you said "not enough space for two..."? ..."yep, thats my ball. Can get it? Do me a favor and try..." ..."oh yes...thats pure love...i know...is it really sure that here's no second pet?..." ..."what...never saw a sleeping dog before...?" ..."yes...imagine...i'm sleeping again. Can someone get this dude away?...get headache..."
  20. Hi there, and thanks for the chritmasgreets, hope you had nice christmas, too. ok...i will believe that about the different CD-plats. My info was only picked up from www...so maybe not a sure source. But i guess we can come to an similar opinion about the relation between Mazda6/Cx-7/Fusion (last for sure) the both current Mazda6 models are definetly not equal but the base of the bodies and interior are looking very similar...so i guess the platform is the same in europe and USA. I just read that Mazda6 uses "different components" of the current Mondeo...not the same platform. So you're right. Relation to the Mazda6 is true...Mondeo not, maybe except of some components. Fact is: Mazda6 and CX-7 are good for 130-140mph and more...so i guess Eddie is, too ...or is someone in here, who wants to change my in a MKX AWD ...sorry Eddie, only joking.
  21. Hello again, @bbf2530 No relation is either not really true. CD4 and EUCD (quite the same) are developed with CD3 as base. It is not exactly the same platform...thats right...but no relation...? Is your actual Mazda6 another as here in Europe? Current new Mazda6 and current new Mondeo has the same platform, as far as i know. The german CX-7 is not vastly different. the chassis has another setup with different suspension, lightly changed engine- and transmission-setup and the limited speed is at a higher level (132mph - 211kph). Completely new for Europe is the Cx-7 with Diesel-Engine. @igcitng Eddie is many things but he is definetly not female :D We only have a few female cars in Germany...hmmm...whatever... @MJ5150 you have to realize that we have different traffic here. How just mentioned. 200 and more kph on the left lane is completely normal. No question that you have to drive with the head at any time...not with the feet. You maybe won't believe that, but we people in Europe or in Germany are not so crazy as you think...mostly...sometimes...here and there...äh...hmm. :D Greets Marc
