no RS module.but there is an antenna plugged into the TPMS module behind the left rear quarter panel. If that is there all you need is keys that have the remote start button on it
-
well now you know you have a remote start. is there an antenna on the left rear glass? if so then you have a long range remote start with seperate remote fobs. if no antenna then you need remote start keys.
-
look under the hood for a hood switch. If it is present you most likely just need remotes with the start button for it to work

satelite radio signals do not bend loke FM radio they must have a direct view with no obstructions. that is why you lose it in a garage.under a tunnel blocked by trees or thick clouds.

Remote start for 2008 ford edge

u can try that think of the rs as a third key. if the theft light flahes rapidly after this then the secure lock is bad. Gary -

DVD sound besides FM transmitter?
gary712 replied to bd1980's topic in Audio, Backup, Navigation & SYNC
the using of FM modulation for the dvd sucks. If you installed these yourself you will know where the junction box is. this is where the two dvd's connect together and has the power wire also. If this is the newer version it has a 3.5 headphone jack on the side you can use and plug that into the aux input or get an adapter and plug it into the red and white RCA's. If you don't have that 3.5 jack you can use a headphone from one of the headrest DVD's and do the same. Gary -

Ford Remote Access
gary712 replied to tomm1079's topic in Alarms, Keyless Entry, Locks & Remote Start
you can install it yourself. It is a pretty simple install in the edge. It just plugs into the TPMS module in the left rear panel. But the problem is you cannot program it and generate the pin# without it being connected to a ford computer (IDS) -

your only other option is using a switch in line with the remote turn-on wire
