  1. the shock sensor has an adjustment knob on the sensor itself.turning it clockwise increases sensitivity, counter-clockwise decreases it.
  2. If it works and gives you peace of mind then it was worth it.
  3. leave drivers window open.lock doors with remote, wait sixty seconds, reach in window and open door with inside handel, not by remote, if you have an alarm in the car something wil start to happen. If not maybe the dealer never activated it and go back there again.
  4. open hood and hold down hood switch while trying to start car. if that does not solve problem go to dealer
  5. As I have been saying all edge's that do not come with a factory remote start does not come with an antenna.
  6. if the remote flashes when the remote start is activated then your battery in the remote is good.next i would check the external antenna. unplug the antenna wire from the antenna itself and see if the range changes.
  7. the car will only take a maximum of 4 remotes. you will have to go back to the dealer and with a scan tool they can delete everything and reprogram your keys.
  8. as I said before you need the antenna in all edges that do not have push button start.you will a;so need the hood switch.
  9. that part number is only 2 5 button keys. as wizzard said on the edge additional parts are needed but not on the explorer.
  10. on the edge there is additional installation unlike the explorer..an antenna module gets plugged into tpms module located behind the rear left panel. a hood switch must be plugged in the existing location. keys must be cut and programmed. remote start must be activated with a ford IDS computer. 11. yes it will control heat, air defrost and heated seats if equipped it is all user programmable thru the cluster settings.
  12. if you want to install nav radio in an 08 that has sync the nav radio MUST be from an 08 which has the protocall built in for sync. the 08 radios have the chrome around the round knobs and have a phone button where the older models have a mute button. also the steering wheel controls for the radio have to be replaced with the one made for nav radio and sync. the new sw switch will NOT have an OKAY button on the switch. also new wires have to be run from the clock spring (steering wheel control) to the radio.if the nav radio did not come from an edge with the same equipment as your edge (audiophile, reverse sensors, dvd, sat radio) then it will have to be reprogrammed for it to work like it came from the factory.
