Cleaning Leather Seats

The leather on car seats is sealed with a coating, so you aren't ever cleaning or touching the leather.  No need for products that 'nourish' the leather ?.  I use Pledge for the entire interior of the car, excpet the glass.  For dirt, like dirty dog paws, a wet towel works fine.

That's not entirely true. There are coated leathers and semi aniline leathers. I suspect the Edge uses coated leather so yes conditioners would be useless. Both of my vehicles have semi aniline seating surfaces and they require proper cleaning and conditioning products. Pledge would not be a good idea for this type of leather.

A general rule of thumb is if the leather absorbs water it's not coated.

I must have missed which Ford offers semi-aniline leather.  Which is an awful material for a car seat.

You didn’t say Ford.  You generalized it.
