olredhead
07 FWD 90k miles, sounds as if something dragging when the rear tires are rotated while on jacks. Shouldn't a rear wheel freewheel with only a slight drag from the main brake pad ? Emergency (parking) brake functions fine. thanks for any info
surferd15
True, can be your parking brake or your hubs are that bad that you can hear it while rotating it by hand.
ls973800
As mentioned, check the bearings in the rear hubs along with the e-brake being adjusted properly. Although it works, it might be making slight contact. Could also be run out on the discs. What condition are the pads and discs?
Mudnut
I was getting a howling sound while on the highway in my 2008 Edge, filly sorted out the problem, the rotors and the ember brake pads had to be replaced, my mechanic said to use the ember brake every now and again to keep them from getting too much rust built up, thats what was causing the noises for me...
