SHIZZY Posted November 20, 2007 Report Share Posted November 20, 2007 I just ordered an Edge (11/10/07). Judging by what I am seeing in these Forums, the VIN numbers are generated pretty quickly. When I asked my salesman for the VIN number he said that it isn't available until the car is built. Did I miss something? Can I submit an order number to someone and get the VIN that way? Part of the VIN is generated when the vehicle is accepted and the balance of the VIN is completed when the vehicle is scheduled (Serialized).
