Text messages & steering wheel controls

in my 2013 edge i was able to select "read" or "ignore" whenever I got a new text message from the steering wheel controls. however, when i get messages on my '16, I don't get that option, instead I have to interact with the touchscreen.

 

is this by design?? or is my car just acting out..

You might want to think about rebooting your system. I'm able to read or ignore. I always choose to have the text read/spoken through the system.

You use the voice button. ☆See page 390 of your owner's manual for details.☆

 

Remember that Sync's interaction with a cell phone is phone dependent.

(Don't know about Apple, but Android was just updated. Best to keep your phone updated with the latest os.)
