It seems to be a chip problem as the key still works to lock and unlock to door. I was able to use my spare key to start the car. Has this ever happened to anyone? I would have been pretty mad if it didnt happen in my driveway. I will call my dealer first thing in the morning. I would assume that this would be covered by the warranty. Hi elliemaej. :D Sorry to hear about your problem, but it should be an easy fix/replacement for the Dealer. Yes, it would be covered for 3 years/36,000 miles. elliemaej Posted March 5, 2008 Author Report Share Posted March 5, 2008 After 1.5 hours at the dealer, they cut and programmed a new key for me.
