Wind Noise

Recommended Posts

Just wondering if anyone else has tried driving around 60 kph or faster with the rear windows down? The wind noise unbelievable. I want to put those window vents on to see if they make a difference. Has anyone else put the vents on and do you recommend them?

And cnogalo said 60 mph - 16 months ago!

Yeah, my Aunt's Edge makes a verrrrry irritating low frequency noise at about 40mph on up with the rear windows down. The sunroof is no better! That mesh is as loud as can be and when it's down, the same low frequency 'air shaking' occurs.

I just wanted to revive this thread to see if anything more came up.

Hi crazyrog. :D From the Edge Owners Manual:

Rear Window Buffeting: When one or both of the rear windows are

open, the vehicle may demonstrate a wind throb or buffeting noise. This

noise can be alleviated by lowering a front window approximately two to

three inches.

This is a common problem on the more aerodynamics dependent cars being produced nowadays.

Hope this helps.

Good luck. :beerchug:
