2019 Ford Edge Titanium, New Engine @ 10,000 kms

Hi there, I am just wondering if anyone else is having issues with their 2019 Ford Edge.  This is what is wrong with mine.

  • Coolant residue found in cylinders after pressure test and removal of spark plugs.
  • Cylinder head was removed to inspect.
  • Found head gasket leaking between cylinders
  • Measure cylinder head for warpage and found it was 2mm over acceptable normal wear
  • Measured block for warpage and found it was 4mm over normal acceptable wear
  • We have been approved and ordered an entire brand new engine assembly
    • The new engine is coming out of Memphis and will be approx. 1 week until we see it

We had a Ford Focus with that stupid clutch thing so we are starting to worry this may be another of Fords mistakes.

We have a 2017 with the 2.0l and it had so much more pep to its step... this Edge drives like a 98 year old man trying to walk up a steep hill.

With that type of problem you’re losing cylinder pressure for sure.   I wouldn’t expect it to run well at all.
